Jersey Joe's Cheesesteak, San Carlos CA

Now this is a cheesesteak! Haven't been in a while and it didn't let me down. Only 4 stars bc I didnt get the amt of spice I wanted. Needed some crystal or tobasco or some more jalapeños. Will definitely be back sooner.

Great place to eat and socialize with family and friends. They have many sports to watch on multiple TVs around the restaurant. I have been going here for years and always had a good experience when dining in, or picking up take out.

Having spent 5 years living in the Philly area, I have certain expectations for a cheese steak. Jersey Joe's meets them very well. Their fries are also very good; crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside.

I've been going to this place for years I loved this place but Today was my last day. The NEW MANAGEMENT COMPLETELY FAILED. This place used to be so good and affordable, now they raised there prices $2 more and use different quality meats. I asked if thy could add mayo to my bread as I always do, They said NO! They gave me a side of it for me to do it myself, I asked for ranch they said we charge. 75 per cup. (Some customer service) Old management gave it for FREE! Extremely sad for this new management to destroy such a classic place, they original cooks are still there I'm sure they feel the same way.

Highly recommended NOT coming here!

Where do I begin! Haha this place is top 3 sandwich shops. The meats, cheeses, the variety of food to choose from. You get every penny worth at this place!

Great cheese steaks in the Bay area. I try to visit when I'm in town. There was a recent menu change as they no longer serve burgers but the food still tastes as good.

I love love love this place. Every time I go the the Bay Area I go out of my way to go here. This place is what I judge every cheese steak on. I have bought many people to this place to try and get similar reactions. Stop reading this and go there now!

Best cheesesteak and fries I have had in bay area, I have tried many st sport bars and restaurants. This one filled me up and was made to order.

Cheesesteaks are solidly good. They don't skimp on the meat. Personally, I like the chicken better than the beef. I do swap the American cheese for provolone. If the restaurant itself was more comfortable (temperature and ambiance), I might even give this place another star.

This use to be my go-to spot for Cheese Steak Sandwiches. I had not been back since new owners took over but heard this happened and decided to check it out finally.

The first bite I could tell right away it didn't taste the same and was shocked. The steak & bread tasted different in my opinion. I was also shocked they cut two chicken tenders into 4 pieces and called it 4 chicken tenders, I have never seen an establishment do this.

Will not go out of my way again to eat here.

Business hours are from 11am to 9pm. I arrived at this location at 8: 40pm and was told by an employee that they close at 8: 30pm. This was after I drove 20 minutes from Redwood City.

I was a regular here till today. I usually get a decent philly steak sandwich and onion rings with it. The new cashier taking my order was being trained by another cashier but he still got my order wrong. I pointed it out to the cashier. When I got my order I noticed a half serving of onion rings.when I asked about it I was told I complain about EVERYTHING! Lately their sandwich's haven't been up to par. Maybe the new management, or new employees. I know of other places I can get a cheese steak sandwich.

Huge cheesesteaks, I had no complaints with them. The fries were not great but you really don't need them when the size of the steaks

Recent change of ownership. Menu was lacking a few of the essentials from previously, which was disappointing. The lady at the cash register seemed very impatient when ordering, even though there was no nobody else in line. The cheesesteak sandwiches seemed to retain their taste though through management change, which is good.

Edited review: being a NJ native, this place WAS as legit as it gets. It's drifting away from that, rather quickly. It's average, not awesome. Hopefully, with real New Jersey guidance, this place can again become our favorite. We're gonna look for a new place in the meantime.: (

The cheese steak was average. It was pretty greasy which is to be expected. The meat could of been more tender. The place is pretty busy. This was a bit more expensive and less food than I'm used to in college. The works did not have anything that made it special compared to other cheesesteaks I've had. It was pretty quick service for a quick bit.

Excited to see new owners reviving this spot and focusing on quality. Same staff behind the counter making the food. Looking forward to my next visit and watching sports once the new TVs are installed.

The place is closed new owners don't even have the courtesy to leave a message on the phone. I hope they don't screw up the menu. Will have to wait and see.

Not impressed with new ownership I’ve been loyal client since the old days when they were located in San Mateo called in for a pickup order they told me to hold then forgot I was there tried calling again and no one answers so we get there and order then the women manager forgets the fries no big deal but the quality of the sandwich has gone down dramatically sorry to say I won’t be returning to jersey joes anymore if this is the new experience
