14 This store is NOT a thrift shop, it is a vintage store. All items specially curated for the vintage style shopper.
Most of the items are separated by style, then by decade. I highly recommend this place not only if you're shopping for a theme party, or Halloween, but if you want to feel nostalgic in the clothes you wear!
You'll definitely find an outfit to suit your needs. They have wigs, glasses, shoes, hats, boots, heels, suspenders.and so much more!
Something to consider, bc it is a vintage store and not a thrift store, are the prices. Example, at thrift stores one would expect to spend about $2 - $4 for a t-shirt. T-shirts here start at $8. Mind you, as previously mentioned, they're definitely carefully chosen shirts to fit the vintage vibe you're trying to accomplish (same applies to just about everything in this store).
Come here ready to spend some money bc we've visited this place at least 5 times in the passed 2 years and have never left empty-handed!
Would never shop in a place where the employees have race preferences and profile other races but white, 0 starts if I could, this place needs to be shut down and sued.
Its strange because they havec$10 shein clothes priced at $50 or more? Its a rip off, when i showed them the item on my phone and complained about the roaches they asked me o leave? There were roaches everywhere and I saw a camera in the dressing room I felt unsafe
Terrible place to shop at. Do NOT spend your hard earned money here, go someplace else that will respect you and treat you like a human being
Will not patronize an establishment that shows favoritism towards one race and disregards another. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Put up a sign that says no colored people allowed instead of allowing them to enter then harass, target and profile them. Disgusting as you are people of color yourselves. Will never patronize them.
Fantastic selection of vintage clothes but with a policy where you as a customer have to leave all bags, even the smallest purse. As a tourist, you must therefore have your passport, wallet and other valuables in your hands during the visit. Staff watch over you closely. I understand that theft and shoplifting are a problem, but when you as an owner let it go to extremes like this in an effort to minimize wastage, you lose customers. It's just not attractive. I have been many times in the USA but never experienced anything like this, boring experience.
Very sad to see what they did to the woman on social media…. Didn’t know people still did that…. Disheartening and won’t ever shop here again. I don’t support any place that discriminates
I bought a couple pieces from them and when I got in the car bugs started crawling out of the bag!
Came here to this thrift shop to check out what they had to offer and it is definitely worth a stop. Had a large selection of dress vests, sports coats, and jackets. Really large vintage collection in general. Think there is definitely a hidden gem in there for you if you can find it and the price is right. I would say overall the price was decent. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Be sure to check out both up and downstairs.
Prejudice towards people of color. This place needs to be shut down. Treat everyone the same! Take your money elsewheres. What a waste
Low quality! And extreme rudeness, save yourself the trouble. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Racist and rude
So why is it that everyone else on a viral video that has a bag get to shop around the store except the black woman? Why is it that she has to be the one to turn in her bag to shop there while everyone else doesn't? Racial discrimination at its finnest.smh shame on you guys.
Amazing selection, helpful staff, can be pricey but the quality of vintage is great. I’ve been coming here for years for the $1 Sunday sales. Be mindful of the bag policy as it’s quite strict.
I worked up the street from this place on Melrose and in passing I always thought it looked like a wonderland of 2nd hand items. Today on instagram I seen a mother and her child treated the same way I was. I was told that they needed to hold my bag and because it was a sizable tote i agreed not thinking much of it. That’s until I actually walked around the store, while being followed, and seen several other women with purses/tote bags and relaxed I was being discriminated against all while trying to do some before work shopping. I’ve been to the sprouts up the street and serval other stores in the same area with no problem. I work only a few miles away and it sucks to see and feel unwarranted discrimination. I was extremely uncomfortable so I left without purchasing anything and tbh it’s probably better that way. It’s very clear who they cater too. Very clear.
2 stars because it’s probably great to shop here just not while black.
