Jiffy Lube, Irvine CA

Not great. Just needed them to replace my reverse bulb and they forgot to tighten the bolt for the taillight. This led the bolt to block my tailgate from opening aaaaand I had to kick it open which tore up my fiberglass.

Like.that's the laziest thing ever.

I’ve been coming to this Jiffy lube for many years. Everyone there has always been really good. I just had an oil change the other day. Tien was my service guy. He is great! He wasn’t overbearing, he explained everything and was very polite.

The best employees, made me feel like I was in control and helped me make informed decisions about my car. Thank you!

I took my car in for an oil change. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The service was efficient and quick and I was in and out in no time. I definitely would recommend this establishment.

As always, fast and efficient. The young man (Sean?) who took my order and payment is fantastic. While the price is high and a bit hard to swallow, the convenience and fast service make it worth it. Can I get it cheaper somewhere else? Sure. But it often involved an appointment, 45 min+ wait time and sometimes a list of recommendations that costs thousands. At JL, in and out and done.

Really like this place.they don't oversell you, ever.many times i'll go in, get my oil done, and be one my way.but they shown me the tool that measures brakes and showed me they needed done, showed me a transmission issue, etc.also, anything they recommended outside of the oil change, they always let me come back later to have it done.there's never any pressure to do things on the spot.i always take my car here first before i go to dealership for anything!

I never return to this places.i when at the location at ball.rd to do my brakes an one a little kid tray to charge me $400 dolar per axle.total only in labor $1600. Plus parts he axme for $1900.00. I can't believe! I just turn around and speed up before the kid charge me for stop there! I never go back. The just shut down this busines!

Just love these guys in Costa Mesa! They're very honest they will tell you when you don't need a service. They've always been very honest with me. Guess I could go to a regular auto mechanic, but these guys have always been very fair and honest and that's what keeps me coming back. Keep up the good work!

Don't know why this place has such a good review. I usually use the dealer-shop maintenance service, but I decided to give it a try for this place since the reviews were so good and it was close to where I live.
First of all the staffs were not friendly at all. The technician didn't have a single smile on his face and looked like he just wanted to go home. Well I don't expect mechanics to have a service mind like hotel receptionists, but he just didn't seem to have the least hospitality and manner to deal with the client.
No one called me after the car service was done. I was gonna wait at the lobby if the service could be done in 30 minutes (as it was said in many reviews), but the technician told me that it'll take 1-1.5 hr. I'm okay with that. So I just dropped off my car and went somewhere else to kill the time. I thought I was gonna get a call when my car is done, and just waited. After some time, I decided to call them and the guy who answered my phone said "Oh, is that your car? It's already done". I mean is it that hard to call or text when the service is done?
I don't know maybe I expected too much. But I don't think I'll go back for the next oil change.

Kudos to all the staff who I interacted with, they are very professional, courteous and friendly. The service was performed with in a given timeframe. The waiting area was cleanly maintained. Thank you!

I got an oil change and tire rotation. I waited in line for just a couple of minutes before they took the car. Jose helped me and he was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The service only took 20 minutes despite being short staffed! I'll definitely go back! Highly recommend. You can also find some good coupons on their website.

They changed their hours but didn’t update them online. I drove here at 5: 15 and they told me they close at 5 now, even though their maps page still showed 7.

Always call ahead and they are happy to give you a time estimate. I find weekdays and weekends are both quiet and easy to schedule appointments for.

Never upsold and in fact, I've asked to replace air filters and have been recommended to wait an extra trip. If they notice any weird rattling or other maintenance, the guys have pointed me in the direction of trustworthy shops for services they don't provide.

Wifi is fast and they rarely take more than 20 minutes.

Shadiest place ever. Advertise that they’re open til 7. I came at 545 to find they’re closed and their phone is switched off. Will never be using this company again. Avoid at all costs.

They forgot to re-install one of the bolts for my skid plate after draining the oil. Had to buy a new set of 4 from the dealer.

Website says they open at 7 am. Drove there and they open at 8. Called to hear info via answering machine but they don’t have one of those either. Thanks for wasting my time

Please update your hours this is not cool at all, I was there at 5: 30 pm and it was completely closed when it says here open until 7, now I have to go early before work and hope you're open then I guess

A few days ago I called about getting a quote for my car to receive a transmission fluid change; I gave them my year, model, and make; I was quoted $199. Early this morning, I took my car to this place and the mechanic shows me that my charges will be over $300. He said it's because my car requires CVT fluid which is an upcharge, but I gave them my specific car info when I called, so they should have quoted me the upcharge over the phone as well. I had to have them pull my car out so I could leave without getting anything done because they previously gave me a quote that was missing a third of the actual cost.

This is the last time I will be going to a Jiffy Lube. EVERY TIME I go in for an oil change they always want to replace my air filter or tell me my brakes need to be replaced or my windshield wipers need to be replaced, even though a week before I just put on new windshield wipers. I can replace my air filter 4 months prior and they'll say I need to replace it again. The cost to get my oil changed, air filter replaced and tires rotated was $150. I have the receipt from my previous oil change and tire rotation at Pep Boys a few months ago, only $63.

This place is a money grab. Jose M.told me next time I come in they can measure my front brakes and tell me how low they are. I asked if they are so low that you think I need to replace them, why didn't they measure them now? His answer was "They just saw they were low and wanted to come in and tell you". Convenient that they want to sell me on something without actually showing me the problem. This has happened before where I was told by a Jiffy Lube member that my brakes need to be replaced and then I head to another auto repair shop and they told me my brakes are fine.

I can't get my money back but I will never be giving them my money again. I've been warned before by another auto repair shop that Jiffy Lubes are full of young technicians fresh out of trade school that don't really know what they are doing and are just starting out. I believe it. I highly recommend everyone find a shop they can trust with more experienced mechanics.
