Jill's Place Restaurant reviews
11This is an awesome place to take the family. The food is superb. I've had the ribeye, the lamb chops and the split pea soup. I thought all three were amazing. I've heard some not so great things about the lobster, but my friend I was with with had it and he thought it was delicious. The service is very good here and so is the atmosphere. This is a place I've gone several times. Its worth a try
Took my family of six out to eat this evening. Jill’s Place has a ton of character and wait staff was great. Food was “mid. ” Ribeyes were good. Soup was decent. Side sauces for steak were really bad. Vegetables were not edible. My son had a cheaper cut of sirloin and the portion they brought out had to be 4-5 ounces. Avoid Chicken Sandwich and Chimichurri Steak Salads. They up charged 4.00 for mashed potatoes and 5.00 for Cesar salad. Bill plus tip was 280.00 and regretted spending that much on that meal. Don’t think will come back.
Unfortunately, I ordered the lobster, and it was tough on the outside and undercooked on the inside; I had to send it back. My parents however got steak which was good, and came with a delicious split pea soup. The waitstaff was friendly and the service was good.
Jill welcomed us. Her dad stopped by. We had drinks, food, and danced to the live band. It was a great way to continue Fiesta.
Ordered fried chicken Specialty Plate. It is as good. But they smoothed it with gravy. Made chicken soggy.
My favorite has always been the Boneless Short Rib. It's enough food for me to take home half and have another meal. This restaurant made me love potato skins. I prefer coming here for dinner.
This place is fabulous! All the food was phenomenal. Service outstanding! Atmosphere very welcoming, fresh flowers and real candles on each table.
Stumbled in on Saturday just before the Farmer’s Market to grab a quick breakfast bite and stayed longer than intended due to the exceptional courtesy and friendliness of Karch and Tony!
They went out of our way to make us feel at home and their hospitality is incomparable. Right away we were greeted warmly and treated like family in an already inviting atmosphere.
Also, this was my first time trying the breakfast wrap and it’s my favorite in Santa Barbara! I was also very impressed with the fair prices. As locals know, many brunches in Santa Barbara are overpriced. This is my new spot!
Our large group was well serviced, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the food was fantastic. Great flavor and artistry highly recommend!
Great piece of meat - unfortunately Jill (yes in person) is not aware of Federal Law (Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which requires all establishments who serve the public to allow service animals to follow their owner.
This is too bad, as the restaurant offers a great steak at reasonable cost compared to the national steak house chains.
I tried to offer Jill some free legal advice, but she countered and escalated the situation by offering to call the Police.
We were hungry and didn't need the police involved in the matter, and had a delightful dinner 'sine canem'
