Jimboy's Tacos reviews
18I went to the restaurant on a thirty minute break. Unfortunately for me after ordering I found out from guests that this location serves drive through guests first, and the guests who walk into the restaurant when they have a minute. And I only found that out after ordering, witnessing one of the employees come out from behind the counter giving someone a dirty look up and down behind their back, step around them and hand someone sitting down a bag of food apologize for it taking so long, then disappear back behind the counter. Then other guests in the restaurant were talking to each other and one of ladies was literally apologizing to guests about the food taking like forty minutes on a regular basis because no body working at the restaurant was telling anyone how long the wait might possibly be. It was a horrible experience for the first time going there to see the discrimination against people on foot instead of having a car. And I was late getting back to work after getting my refund because I was not able to wait forty minutes to even get the food on a thirty minute lunch. So needless to say I went back to work hungry. Oh and my name was spelled wrong on my receipt.
The food is always hot and fresh. This location is a must. Their tacos are always good and everyone is friendly.
Horrible beef tacos! No Parmesan cheese dusted on the outside and definitely not considered Jimboys to me! I recommend going to any other Jimboy’s besides this one! Bland and no smell - not sure what the heck this was - totall waste of time and $!
The drive through a bit tricky but the food is worth it. Staff friendly and accommodating. Wish they would bring back the combo burrito.
Great location. It was clean and the guy running the counter was incredibly friendly and nice.
Undeniable and delicious, a Sacramento staple, can match up against any taqueria and win, great anytime choice
I ordered 2 tacos. It took about 10 minutes to get the tacos which is relatively long for such a small fast food order. The tacos were cold, soggy and pretty gross all around. No thank you.
Food was great. But bathrooms were bad. One had no soap. And in the other one the water wouldn't turn of. And flys were everywhere.
FLIES SO MUCH FLIES the bathroom soap was empty and the tap would not turn off. Good food but they had no bottled water on a hot summer day.oh well
They are extremely slow. When i pulled up to order there was 2 cars in front of me, that already had ordered. It still took almost 15 minutes just for me to get my food.
Ordered 4 beef tacos and 2 chicken tacos. Very simple order. Waited 20 minutes in the drive thru. They forgot the chicken tacos. So I got ripped off for $6.50 and the girlfriend didn't get her food, which is the only reason we went there.
I stopped going to Jimboy's years ago because of the rising prices, and I think this will probably be my last time. Overpriced, and you may not even get your food.
Extremely slow service understaffed like most fast food chains these days… had to wait 10 mins just to place an order and then another 20 minutes for the food to come out … it’s supposed to be “fast food”. At least that is my understanding
If I’m nearby in Sacramento and in the mood for Mexican food I’ll stop in at the 19th st Jimboys. My last visit was about 6 pm on a Sunday night. Ordered a combo enchilada/taco plate with bean rice salad. I was somewhat disappointed it just wasn’t that great. I’ll stick to the tacos from now on.
I live in Las Vegas now and recently visited family in Sacramento, so you know I just had to get a Jimboys taco before leaving to go back to Vegas. Sacramento will always be home and Jimboys for me is a definite reason to move back. If I can ever afford living in California again.
Grilled chicken tacos were tasty. Friend chicken taco was so-so. Queso is a great choice! Chips tasted fresh. Inside of restaurant was ok. Service was friendly.
Arrived later at night than usual. The tables hadn't been cleaned. There were a lot of people picking up orders for delivery. It isn't the same but then the limited menu doesn't offer a lot of variety. The tacos were good but the enchiladas were just okay. At least the food wasn't too salty. I will go back and try it again.
Gowing up in the east bay area, listening to radio station from Sac, I had always listened to the ads for Jimboy's, I always wanted to try the tacos here. Now some 18 years later I had the opportunity.
These tacos are bomb. Better, in my opinion, then some authentic Mexican spots that I have been to.
You can't go wrong with Jimboy's, even if it is a bit pricey.
I remember it was pricey, but it may have been that a lot of food was ordered.
Very disappointed. This Jimboys used to be the BEST. Went earlier this week ordered my usual. 2 Beef Tacos & Fries. Tacos; No Jimboy flavor, barely any beef. Fries, 1/2 of bag So disapointed. Taco sause NOT THE ORIGINAL Sauce at All.
