Jinju Sushi, Woodland CA

The food here is delicious. They never disappoint customers with their cooking. Sure there is limited space, but it’s their different selection of sushi is worth it.

Went there today specifically for their ramen. It was ok, like I could've made it myself at home. The problem is their ramen is lacking ingredients and presentation. It only had half an egg, few corn kernels, spring onions and the only good thing is that it had like 5 pieces of meat.

Small sushi bar with excellent quality and well handled fish. Good value. The focus on the sushi so it's always good. They know what their doing. Variety of fis is limited to maintain quality and valu pricing.
I use to travel to Sacramento for good sushi in Jinju opened in Woodland. Best in Woodland and Davis area. A stop off I5 is worth it.
Hours 1130a to 730 pm (they close early so get there by 7pm.
I eat here once a week if I'm home in Woodland.

This place has some of the best Sushi ever, what a gem to have in woodland. I have had the A- Bomb 3 times. It's crazy spicy but so delicious. The Extreme Roll is another favorite. I highly recommend this place it never disappoints.

My go to in Woodland for sushi. Great rolls, great sushimi and drinks. Recommend it to all my friends.

Food was good. Waitress not professional and too busy visiting with locals at bar than serving us. Rude

Bad service, and they charge you badly for things and the order is incomplete, one of the waitresses did not know, but she was friendly and the one with very bloody experience and did not help the other girl

I’ve come here for lunch twice now.
The flavors are amazing between the G-6 roll and the bbq salmon, and the sashimi tasted so fresh. Speedy and friendly service.

Best sushi in Woodland by far and plenty of parking too. Very friendly staff who put their customers first. I recommend the Greenhouse roll if you are vegan - it’s better than the vegan roll. One thing I really like is how they do agedashi tofu - and getting it without Bonito is easy. Their premium Chardonnay is awesome!

We used to love coming to this place. The chefs were very accommodating, the food was excellent. Did this place change owners? The service has never really been that good, but it has really gone south! The food was ok, however, the service was horrendous, she chef and waitress we’re drinking beer with a couple of patrons sitting at the bar, never once did a waitress came and ask us if we needed anything, but was happy to drop & pick up our check. The chef finally put gloves on after making the first plate. One of the cooks in the back came from outside and did not wash his hands before starting to make a meal. Very disappointing as I was really looking forward to it. Oh and this place not cheap.

This is the best sushi spot in Woodland. The restaurant is not very big, staff is friendly and provides a great service.

All of the roles are fresh, flavorful and decent size. They have many rolls with a great selection of ingredients. It is on the pricier side of rolls but the value for what you get is worth it.

They are family to the owners of the teryaki restaurant next door and we overheard the employee letting another table know next time they could order teriyaki with their sushi and they would run the food over so they didn't have to. What a great service to offer. It doesn't work the other way around though due to prep times so don't try to order sushi at the teriyaki place.

We will definitely be coming back.

I tried Jinju a few weeks ago. I had an all around great experience! The food was phenomenal. The atmosphere was great and the service was perfection. Our servers name was Lilli. She was very attentive and anticipated our every need. We sat at the bar and it's was fascinating watching the chefs make the food. I will definitely be putting this in my rotation.

Imagine sitting at the bar and basically being ignored. Having to constantly ask for a new round of drinks? The food is very tasty. Service is seriously lacking.

Best sushi in Woodland, hands down. Fish quality is top tier. Agedashi is always excellent and their little specialties like poke and spicy edamame seem to be crowd pleasers for sure. Appropriation of the word Lomi throughout the menu is insulting to Hawaiians. It looks like they've taken some out but it's still rife in the roll descriptions.

Literally two waitresses here are disrespectful. Everytime we have to ask for extra things and water etc because they never come to us. When we ask for something like water (after 30-40 of never checking up with us, they roll their eyes and laugh with each other infront of us. I use to love coming here but not anymore

Surly staff. Long wait at the table after ordering. No green tea, only Earl Grey (weird). No gobo root. The menu is somewhat confusing. Overall we were dissatisfied and disappointed. To top off the annoying meal: a surcharge for paying with a credit card.

Don’t bother unless you happen to be right there; and check to see if they are busy filling Togo orders.

Ordered lunch, waited way too long for it to come so it’s hard to judge if the food wasn’t that good or I was just annoyed. Payed a little over $15 for their lunch special, that was one avocado roll, 3pcs nigiri, salad and rice. Was sub par when I had to wait over 25 min for, what I consider, little and simplistic food. Wouldn’t go back.

Jinju Sushi consistently delivers high quality sushi and other contemporary Japanese dishes. It's cozy, small, unpretentious, food focused. Easy to talk with chefs and wait staff about the menu and specials. When available, oysters, uni, etc are served with great quality and value. It's a great spot in Woodland.
