Joe's Italian Dinners reviews
18Cozy local restaurant. Service needs major improvement or at least basic etiquette training.
Always enjoy dinner here because of the service and atmosphere. The dishes are prepared upon ordering, which is a great thing, but sometimes they arrive cold. All of the bolognese dishes are delicious. The pesto is very basic. The anchovy salad is quite amazing.
No gluten free pasta and no other starch to choose from like rice or potatoes. Get on the program like the rest of Italian restaurants in San Diego
I was so disappointed. The decor is charming but the night chef needs to go back to school. Burnt olive oil, honestly
Been here twice and both times I had great food and great service.small place and very busy. There is a small room in back for waiting if needed.
The folks that own/ run Joe's diner are extremely nice, friendly and caring. The atmosphere makes you feel comfortable and the food is delicious!
The bread was inadequate and the lasagna for $20 was the size of a child's plate also the wine was served in a can which was kind of tacky for the type of place that it was. I will say the lasagna was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful.
Were pleasantly surprised with our first visit to Joe's. Food was great and was a fun atmosphere. There is no dedicated parking for the restaurant, but we found street parking nearby.
9.17.2022, Last night, we went to Joe’s Italian Restaurant, 403 West Grand Avenue, Escondido, Ca. Up until now we haven’t been able to find a good Italian restaurant in Escondido.
Inside Joe’s Italian Restaurant the ambience has a cool old fashioned Italian restaurant vibe with wall decorations, booths and tables with Italian music playing softly in the background.
The aroma of Italian food is in the air. I ordered Chicken Cacciatore which came with soup or salad. I ordered the soup. My spouse ordered Shrimp Primavera and soup. The restaurant
provides a free small loaf of Italian bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar on request. The Chicken Cacciatore was the best Italian dish I have ever tasted. It had fresh sauteed mushrooms, carrots and bell peppers. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Every bite melted in my mouth.lol My spouse dish Shrimp Primavera was tasted great. The soup was a beef flavored with small shell noodles. The soup was fantastic if you enjoy beef flavored soup. Con: The waiting staff seemed disorganized which caused prolonged waiting times.
Parking: There is plenty of free parking on West Grand near the Joe’s Restaurant. I highly Joes’ Italian Restaurant to anyone who’s looking for gourmet Italian Restaurant at a reasonable price of an average $20. We waited for 5 minutes before being seated. We make a reservation for this restaurant. I highly recommend this small restaurant to anyone looking for Italian food. I would recommend contacting this restaurant in advance if you have more than 4 people in your group.
Olive Garden is a joke compared to Joe’s Italian Dinners on Quality and prices. Highly recommend it!
Quaint, romantic Italian cuisine that's excellent and moderately priced. Great place for a date night!
Very delicious food! Can't go wrong with anything you choose. Our waiter was very attentive as well, friendly atmosphere.
Always as my mother cooked Italian meals.
I've been eating at Joe's for 20 years. The best in North San Diego County.
If you post your hours online AND on your door, but turn away customers 30 minutes before you close on a FRIDAY NIGHT, you will find people keep driving past your location, especially when you are at the end of the strip. Lame
So good! Love this place, service is outstanding and the owner came out to talk to us! Food is to die for! Highly recommend!
A friend and I came to Joe’s on a Wednesday evening and we mostly had the place to ourselves. The entire dining experience was excellent, every dish we had was amazing. The highlights of the meal were the bruschetta, the pasta (of course), and the cheesecake for dessert.
Joe’s certainly one of those places where you don’t want to rush your experience, just sit back and enjoy!
My name is Kay Bates and I am the broker/owner of Bates Realty in Escondido, CA. I have dined here several times with my husband. The food is delicious. I am gluten free and they offer a great gluten free menu selection.
If you've been to Italy or have been lucky enough to sit down in a real Italian cuccina, you'll appreciate the perfect combination of flavors and textures that Joe's Italian Dinners have to offer from literally any dish on the menu. Im sad we didn't come here sooner during our stay in California but my husband's wallet is lucky I didn't know about it before pregnancy because the cravings would be insatiable. There are certain places you can only get THAT perfect thing and this menu has all of the perfect things.
Yummmmmm. Will forever look forward to trips to so cal for some Joes Italian.
