This was a nice place to stay friendly people visited all the spots on johnnys list to see had a couple sites by the water rest was asphalt with full hook ups at all sites but still nice close to beach many things to do around there 1 hidden gem is the boat docks he has so you go launch your fishing boat at public ramp and you put your boat in a slip just walk up get in boat go fishing one feature I did see for fishermen will stay there again thank you Johnny

Good experience and do recommend. It’s by the water with an uncrowded beach across the street. Safe, clean and nice people.

I give this five stars only because that’s the limit. This place is wonderful and Johnny an amazing host. We called from Fort Bragg yesterday and Johnny could not have been more helpful. And when we landed much later than planned he was gracious and really went out of his way to he accommodating.

This was originally his Dad and Mom’s business and just reopened after a number of years. It is heartwarming to see how he has preserved and restored his family’s heritage.

Just loved it there and will be back. Highest recommendation.

We arrived late last night to a wonderful spot on the harbor front. Johnny graciously aroused himself from his home to escort us into our site. He shared with us the history and photos of the park with such great pride. The website is a complete compilation of activities. Thank you for the wonderful, safe accommodations.

Kind of a concrete jungle, but the best feature was the huge dog friendly off leash area across the street. Our dogs were so happy to be able to run and stretch their legs!

Johnny runs this RV park with passion. He is always concerned about his guests. Except for showers, the campground has everything you need.

Johnny and his staff were warm, welcoming, and very helpful! They have a boat dock that has a view of a lot of bird wildlife and 1 mellow seal. Absolutely worth a stay - if for no other reason than to schmooze a bit with Johnny (the owner).

Stopped for 1 night on our way to Oregon. Traveling with a 33’ fifth wheel. New ownership by the son. He is currently working on upgrading the park. Nothing fancy but Johnny was very helpful. Offers full hookups and internet. The weather was great!

Brain was very nice he greeted us as we came in and took us to our spot. Jonny also greeted us later.

Friendly host, clean bathrooms and we got a nice spot right on the water. Walking trails nearby. The place is dog friendly.

After several failed attempts to find room in a camper park near Arcata I called Johnny's By The Beach at about 830 I was looking for a spot to accommodate the 26.5ft trailer and truck Much to my surprise the call was answered after hours by what seemed to me a rather upbeat and kind gentleman I preceded to explain the predicament and was informed that there was indeed a spot available and after a quick registration procedure we were locked in and ready to hit the road for the short trip to King Salmon once we arrived we were met by the owner of this family establishment and were quickly directed to and helped into our spot we spent a few mins talking about the history of the place and about this quiet little restaurant a short walk down the road (like johnny told me " the shrimp omelet is amazing") before we parted ways he was kind enough to lend us an adapter so we had power as we had forgotten ours and all this on the evening of his Wedding Anniversary I was so blown away but the level of commitment and service to his business and customers so much so it honestly felt like home this special spot is located just a short walk from the bay shore line which was perfect to catch a some relaxing moments Thank you Johnny and once more Happy Anniversary until next time my friend

Whether you are staying a night or settling in for longer, Johnny's is place to be! My husband and I stayed here overnight in our Camper Van with our small dog. There was a beach, walking distance, to walk our pup at and let her off leash. We were able to hook up for the night, get our laundry done in their clean facilities in the morning and even got a few hours of work done in a comfortable environment. The service is top notch! We are driving the coast with nothing planned but Johnny's answered the phone when I called at 8: 30pm and let us check in at 915pm. We were so grateful for the hospitality as many places close at 6pm. Highly recommend even though there are no showers. We just went to the gym nearby, worked out and showered there.

Johnny has got to be the coolest host we met last summer. Drive from Tucson Arizona, to Creed CO then decided to head over to the coast. Johnny made our last minute decision to stay in Eureka wonderful. He put our 1963 in a prime location, and made us feel at home. Instead of one night we stayed 3. If you want fancy it may not be for you, but we felt valued and for us this guy made our summer

Found this gem by accident and so glad we did. Everything is asphalt which made it easy to set up, with full hookups, and a nice laundry. We had the site overlooking the docks which was fantastic in the mornings and evenings, like our own private porch. The restaurant just a walk down the beach is fantastic as well. Johnny is hands on and very helpful in steering us in the right direction with good advice. Nice calm laidback place to rest a few days while on the road.

Our camper was by the boardwalk with the boats, birds and Flip the seal. We love it. Johnny and his staff were awesome.
