Johnny's Take & Bake Pizza, Tehachapi CA

Might want to mention nothing is cooked when selling to someone at a hotel, before you mention it’s in the name what hotels have ovens.

Pizzas are yummy but all the employees make it differently and u don't always get the same quantity of ingredients. Sometimes they close early with no notice?

Horrible. Impossible to get a flimsy piece of rubber with toppings on it into my oven. Pizza is in the trash and I'm still hungry. Avoid this place at all cost.

Our favorite take and bake pizzas. My hubby can't have tomato sauce and they do a great job customizing our pizza with olive oil as a base instead. Very fresh ingredients. Delish!

June 22nd I went in to get a pizza. The girl working said she was by herself. She was very rude and angry. I have never been treated like that before, by any employee from johnnys take and bake. If she doesn’t want to work, perhaps she needs to stay home.

I love this place. I love that I can take a fresh pizza home and bake it and I don't have to wait for delivery and get a cold soggy Pizza. The crew that works there is awesome as well, they're always so friendly.

This is my go-to pizza shop. Baked right, it is a very close approximation to the old Lamp Post Pizza that was in Lancaster back in the ‘80s. In a nutshell, they did not burn the cheese like it seems every take out pizza joint does now. I don’t know who it was that decided pizza tastes better with burned cheese, but I would like to wring his neck. Okay?

But I digress. Yes, Johnnies is pricey, but, you get what you pay for. And, really, for about $20 for a large my wife and I can get two meals out of it at $5 for each of us, a lot better than any fast food joint. Not only that, $2 more for an extra large we get three meals. And because you bake it yourself you can decide to cook it right, or burn the cheese. Your choice.

Now, do yourself a favor. Ask for parchment along with the paper pan. Also, get yourself a 16 inch pizza pan at Walmart to pick it up, but bake them in the paper pan as suggested. You do not want to pick up an extra large with no pan, trust me. Follow the directions they offer you for baking, but watch the baking progress the first few times. Each oven bakes in a little different length of time.

Well, that’s all I have for now, and now you can bake your pie like a pro.

Really great pizza. Just would not recommend the thick crust option. Just a little bit way too thick. But their ingredients are super fresh and delicious. Their service is excellent and the end result once you get home certainly does not suck.

Clean and nice environment. Met the owner.such a sweet gal. Awesome for a quick pick up and make at home. The choices are really good.

Hands down best take and bake pizzas, their options are endless ; thin thick low carb gluten free, awesome little shop and the staff is amazing. I usual get the thin crust because the thick is very thick lol.definitely recommend.

My daughter was so excited to get a miniature pizza for her elf! We love Johnny's take and bake pizza and now we have a new tradition

Amazing place! I showed up and realized I messed up one of my pizzas. The girl took it and fixed it proudly. Such great service. As she fixed it she was smiling and talking to us. I’m just amazed! It’s my new go to for pizza and great service. And they put so much topping…

First time going to a take and bake pizza place. Never even heard of one. So it was a first for me. First off I will start with the staff, they are amazing, friendly and for it being my first time they explained everything to me so that was a big plus I loved the customer service! Now for the food! The pizza was amazing! I love it, it really does fill you up! I will definitely be coming back for more for looking forward to trying more stuff on the menu. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to trying something new.

Fast, friendly, and all around awesome pizza, sandwiches, salads! Wish there were a few more deals, but the price for what you get is still great! Their customer service is excellent always By far best tasting pizza on TOWN You can really tell they care about the products they use to make their food, and it reflects in each bite you take.

Johnnys is great! We get mostly salads and pizza. The red pizza sauce has great flavor. They will not disappoint! Totally recommend giving them a try.

This place has great food for pick up. My go to is the Italian Sandwich and Anti-Pasta salad.but I'm going to be trying their Calzone soon!
