Johnson RV Gilroy

My husband and I lost our home in a wildfire almost 3 years ago. Our rebuilding is delayed and we're at a point where we need to explore living in an RV. Our first stop was Johnson RV. Every person we talked with was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I truly felt valued as a customer. Nolan and Rudy in the Sales Department were both exceptional. Nolan gave us a thorough tour of the units that might fit our needs. He answered all of our questions and provided valuable information about how each unit might fit our needs. We found a unit we felt would work, but left that day without purchasing it. By the next morning, we had decided to purchase it. I called and Nolan was with another customer, so I left a message. Rudy saw that message and called me back. He provided me with a link to complete the credit application and worked to quickly secure the unit for us. We came in that afternoon to sign the paperwork. I'm very grateful to Rudy and Nolan for the efforts in helping us find and purchase the RV that will be our home for at least a year. We have 3 adults, 4 large dogs, and 3 cats. The 2-bedroom 2-bath floor plan of our RV is the only one we have seen that will be feasible for our family.

I'd also like to mention that both Lisa and Ursula in the finance department are great too!

We brought one of dogs, Ghost, with us. He was also treated very well. If you brings yours, see Rudy for treats! Ghost is usually anti-treats from strangers. But, Rudy had the magic touch. Ghost was very happy he got to go back the second day!

We were told by a competitor not to go, that was Wrong, this place is great mostly indoor, the service and selection was Excellent we will be back to buy!

Extremely disappointing experience with Johnson Gilroy. Near the end of a business day, spoke to their rep about a unit which was listed for several weeks. We traded info and tossed around a purchase price (less than what they were asking), and they made clear the unit was still available. Even before the business opened the next business day, I submitted a firm, higher offer only to be told that it was sold. Despite being listed for weeks, miraculously someone allegedly bought it in the hour or two before closing? Yes, miracles do happen, and it was possible. But in my opinion, they had a “preferred” customer in the wings, and once they thought they would get an offer, they let their friend know and got them to come in to close the deal. Basically, they might have used my interest and potential offer to shop around the unit. Not illegal, but definitely unethical. Their response was that they moved a lot of units and could help me find another one. No thanks. Buyer and shopper beware.

I’ve just purchased a class C rv from Johnson RV. Throughout the entire process including me trying to figure out what’s right for me and my family, test driving and all, Alfredo was like a good friend next to us with valuable tips all the time. If any of my friends looks for an rv, I’ll highly recommend this place and Alfredo. He deserves a bonus

This is a five star business with the customer in mind. They do great work, they keep the communication flowing even when they are awaiting your RV parts, and Ron is fantastic!

We purchased our camper at Johnson RV. Wanted to thank the staff: Roland and John in sales, and Ursula and Lisa in finance. A couple of small hiccups, but overall smooth experience and process. Also a thanks to Martin for going through the camper with us along with his witty humor. I would recommend this dealership.

We sold our Class A motorhome through Johnson RVs consignment program. Mary was great to work with. She was prompt with her replies and answered all of my questions. It ended up being a painless process and sold pretty quickly. They handled all aspects of the sale.

Eric was very friendly and helplful when we were looking for a used RV. He took the time to make sure all of our questions were answered. The whole process a was positive experience.

I made a purchased-on Saturday and Martin helped me. He was really professional, sweet and nice. He helped made my purchased very smooth. He didn't pressure me into buying anything until I'm ready. If you ever stop by Johnson's RV in Gilroy, make sure you ask for Martin.

We recently purchased a Van Conversion from Johnson RV in Gilroy, California. Besides being impressed with the Showroom set-up, we were very impressed and extremely satisfied with the exceptional and professional service provided to us by Alfredo Velasquez. If you do decide to visit Johnson RV in Gilroy, make sure to ask for Alfredo. His personal approach to making sure you are satisfied with your visit and ultimately with your purchase is unprecedented in today’s retail market.

Our only complaint and the reason we only gave Johnson RV in Gilroy a 4-Star rating is the lack of any customer service provided by their Service Department. We actually had to lodge a complaint with the General Manager “Ben” from their corporate location in Oregon, who was visiting this location at the time of our purchase. So, if you do have to take your vehicle into their service department, make sure not to deal with Michael who’s only purpose there is give you the runaround and be dismissive to your service concerns.

Overall, our experience with Johnson RV’s sales department was fantastic.

Great experience

This one star is for the ‘parts department. ’ Nobody ever answers the phone. I have called a number of times over the last three days, left two voicemails and even left a message with the young lady directing calls … Still have yet to hear from anyone!

When I called the main line, before the operator transferred me to the ‘parts department, ’ I asked her if anyone is in there because no one ever answers. She placed me on hold…. Went to check, got back on the line and told me YES, somebody is in there and will pick up the phone. I get transferred, no one answers! I get Lupe’s voicemail every time!

Do not waste your time or money here! Drive the extra 20 minutes to Almaden RV services. Totally worth it and better customer service.

Just honestly amazing staff all around. Extremely friendly and made everything super easy! Edgar helped me out and could not recommend him more! World class service!
