Jolene's Country Kitchen reviews
18Little pricey, but so far my favorite breakfast food in town. My wife an I ate there an it was right at $50 for us with nothing extra.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. I bought 2 items, banana and popcorn. The banana was great, popcorn tasted stale. I will go back.
Just ordered the cheeseburger and it was definitely lacking. I figured I couldn't go wrong. The first patty could have doubled as a drink coaster. Sent it back and the second was better but just didn't have much flavor. I wanted a better burger because I am tired of chain burgers but this wasn't it.
The food is delicious. They sell candy, Julian's pies, sodas, jams, and jerky and other goodies.
Food was average. Portions were on the small side, which is not a bad thing. Service was great and prompt. Like other reviews said, definitely a homey kinda place that was on the small side. They had a kids menu for the little ones. The kids seemed to really like their food. Check out the store on the way out. They have a good variety of farm style food, fruits, snacks, Julian pies, and more.
There was no one there when we got there, so we thought it was closed. Overall, great price for fresh food that is delicious. I will pass on the water coffee next time, but totally a diamond in the rough. We had the breakfast burrito and the spanish omelette. Great food and service!
Most items are Alittle pricey in the shop. Except the pop they have alot of specialty soda and most are only $2.49 for each glass bottles. And another good buy is the beef jerky it's $10.99 for a good size bag. But, the other items are overpriced. But, I haven't really had a great experience with the cashier's and they can't give you a paper receipt, the receipt has to be sent to your email. And their food in the main restaurant is very good and is responsible cost for what you receive. Hope this helps.
Nice place to stop along the way to San Diego. Nice people, good food, fun things to see. Great sourdough bread!
Could not rate on service as we did not patronize the restaurant, only the shop. The shop was great! Been driving past it for years always meaning to stop by and finally did. Their pies are amazing! And their selection of differing game animal jerky is pretty broad as well! Nice people that we did interact with. Will definitely go again!
The first two time we came for breakfast Rachel helped us and she was amazing. She gave real country service and we thought this is our breakfast place. Then the last two times we came and were helped by Juleene and service and attitude were horrible. Very rude and dismissive. Made us feel we were some inconvenience and made us uncomfortable. I can’t believe she’s the owner. Foods good but her service just ruined it for us. We won’t be back or refer anyone again.
Great hometown Country spot. Ive been local to Hemet since 1977. This place throws down on breakfast. Best French toast I've had in a long time.
If you haven't eaten here, you need to stop in and grab your favorite childhood soda. Like a lemon drop or a Big Red and grab a bite. Great staff!
My wife and I have been there several times for breakfast and lunch, the food is ok (average) but one of the waitresses (I think she's the owner) has a horrible attitude, last time she served us I ask for no lettuce on my hamburger she totally ignored my request, my wife asked for water with lemon she ignored that also, my wife asked again four times and finally I have to get up and ask for the lemons myself. So food ok, horrible service, Will not go back and will not recommend to anyone.

Very happy that my mom and I tried this place out. Not disappointed at all. Drove 20 minutes and it was worth it. Greeted upon entering, the place is small but it works. We got helped right away and it didn't take long to get our food. Food is really good and the prices are very affordable. The waitress was really nice. Seemed like one cook and one waitress. There's plenty of parking. The restroom is available and kept clean. My mom tried the pancake combo and I tried the french toast combo. The menu is small but it has good options. There is also a store with really unique things. Much check out. I will definitely return.
Haven't been here in years but went in to check it out and so cute friendly customers service got my son some variety beef jurkey all different kinds of different meats will definitely be going back to try the food
Been there 3 time. Will return.
Coffee is fresh, eggs cooked as ordered
The serving of hash brown is on the light side.
Meats and chili are outstanding
Food is always on point, so far i have tried just about everything. Breakfast is my fave, fast friendly service with a good cup of coffee.
