The older lady working the cash register immediately started arguing with me upon arrival because I did not answer her in Spanish. I let her know to the best of my ability that I do not speak Spanish and I am not Mexican. She asked, so I told her that I am Apache. She said “well Apache’s are kind of Mexican” to which I replied that no they aren’t and they do not speak any form of Spanish. She says “Well then I’m sorry for you…. And for me. ” I finally get my burrito and it sucks the meat had a strange seasoning and everything else was bland.

I've had the rolled tacos and tortilla soup several times now. They are so yummy. Great place to stop in for a quick lunch.

We stopped by to eat some good Mexican food. The customer service was awesome, great guy, friendly, I would recommend people to come here for food.

Chicken soup Texcoco style will change your life. Healthy and delicious with fresh ingredients.

$14 for a puny burrito. My coworkers warned me not to come here but I gave them a chance and well, learned my lesson.

Overpriced. If the location wasn’t across from the hospital/skatepark/high school this place wouldn’t survive. California burritos has burnt quartered potatoes. I tried several times specifying NOT getting potatoes over deep fried and quartered. Didn’t happen. I rarely leave reviews. I live a block away, lived here 35 years. Sorry guys. We deserve better for the only mexican food spot on Santa Fe

Scam. I ordered a carne asada burrito and got more pico than meat, I ordered a California burrito, I get potatoes with a sprinkle of meat, overpriced, taking advantage of customers, you deserve to go out of business for being so stingy that customers aren't getting what they pay for. Close, maybe a real restaurant can use that space

When I don't feel well I get Mexican Chicken Soup and always feel better! It's my Mexican Penicillin!

The best spicy chicken soup in San Diego. Have been going to Jorge’s since the 90s and their quality is still amazing.

Not great. The chips tasted stale and I found a hair in my food. I got the chilaquiles. Surprised they were dry. Definitely don't recommend sorry

Grabbed a fast Buritto. Good location across from Scripps Hospital. Huevos Rancheros last time there

I’ve eaten here whenever I visit. It’s an institution for me. As a chef I’ve had a lot of Mexican/Latin but Jorge’s has always been head and shoulders over the rest.

The attention is good! The place is average! The food wasn't as good as I expected. I had chilaquiles with over easy eggs. Tha sauce for the chilaquiles was tasteless. I was with my grandson, he had the carne asada torta, it look good but with not that much meat vs other places. A bit pricey for what you get.
