Jose's Country Kitchen reviews
18I've had breakfast and lunch here and it's always a great comfort meal for a decent price. Definitely well worth it.
Delicious hamburger, meat flavor was great, fixing good except the lettuce, a very green leaf, not so tasty but maybe ice berg lettuce hard to get!
Will be back for sure!
As always this place never fails to impress me. For those drivers thinking you can't get good country cooking in California you need to eat here. Have had the country fried steak, hamburger steak, and a few different burgers from this little gem and each and every one of them have been phenomenal! Easily one of the best hamburger steaks you will find in this country. Very small place behind San Paso truck stop but HUGE flavor. My go to place to eat every time I come to California. Waitresses are friendly and personable as well and I dare say this place is well worth it to go an hour or so out of your way if you're looking for good food! So keep eating here drivers, this is one little gem we cannot let get swallowed up by major companies!
Stopped by on the way back home for a quick lunch. I ordered the French dip with pepper Jack cheese and fries. Best French dip and fries i have had in a while. The bread was buttered and toasted and the fries were perfectly seasoned. If your passing through Paso Robles and want the old school diner vibe with good service and good food definitely stop by. Located in the same lot as the San Paso Truck Stop. Truck parking makes it even better
Way above average diner burger. Everything was fresh and just done right. Good fries and they have.the good ranch dressing.y'all know the one I mean.
Terrible! Dirty, nasty little café. Dead bugs, of all kinds, on window sills, right next to the tables. Piles of dirt in the corners. Table condiments haven't been cleaned in months. Tables wiped down with brown water. Might have been safer eating dinner in the bathroom.
Food: Our Chopped Steak, ordered well done, was served RARE! No offer to fix the error, no discount. Salad was served in a bowl with 1" of water in it; nobody drained the salad! No mashed potatoes available? Served burnt greasy bread with dinners.
Service: Understaffed, so the service was lacking.
Two dinners, completely wrong from the kitchen, and two sodas, totaled $53.06. We passed on the $6.50/slice of pie.
Won't be back unless the place burns down and we have marshmallows to roast!
Great as always.and super busy! 4 cooks in the kitchen and I think maybe 5 waitresses.
Haven't seen it like this in years!
It’s a little hole in the wall, but the food, portions, service was great. Steak n eggs, chicken strips, cheeseburger where really good.it’s not a fancy place but everything else was good.
A american classic, hard to find on this days.planty of good food, i can only eat half.other half was my next day lunch
Nice little diner with a great shaded, outdoor patio. I had the southern breakfast with extra gluten. The place was clean, service friendly, and fast.
Nice family run restaurant with very good food priced right. Lunch burritos with real salsa were excellent.
The country fried steak was stale. Plus they drowned it in gravy, maybe they thought the gray would cover the stale taste. Try something else.
My wife & I ate dinner here, and got breakfast to go in the morning. Both meals were very good, with large portions. We got what we paid for. We look foreword to eating there again, and recommend it to others.
They have great, friendly service, and they accommodate big groups. We had 14 and they took care of us with no problem.
Great little place. The food was awesome. I would definitely pick this place over a big chain restaurant.
Over price, my orders was not worth the money I paid for. 2 sandwich. (tuna) (phillysteak) fries and drink over 33 dollar.
Friendly service.tuna 1/10, Philly steak 2/10. Those items weren't up too it price hope to have better meal next time.
Great service, food served hot and fast. All you can eat tacos on Tuesdays for $17, my husband had 8 and said it was a fair price, just thought they could have put cheese in em. My chilie rellenos were good. For breakfast we ordered the FAT breakfast burritos, yum. Thanks for the comfort food and great service. We'll be back.
