Joshua Tree Visitor Center reviews
16Nice visitor center with ranger that explained everything to us, gave us some tips and shared interesting facts about the Joshua Tree national park. Also you can buy some souvenirs in here.
Great. Everyone should visit here before going to the main entrance of the park.
There is so much info to help you have the best of times and a safe one.
Seasons are changing.
Make the changes with it.
Before entering the Joshua National Park, we stopped at the visitor center. The visitor center has a park store, a coffee place, and restrooms. You can park in the parking lot in front of the center. The officers at the visitor center were very friendly and helpful. They answered very politely and gave us wonderful suggestions. Before leaving we took our group photo at the park sign just outside the visitor center.
Good place to start your park visit with helpful planning advice from a knowledgeable park ranger.
Get the information you need, and some history/background about Joshua Tree, including a map, before entering. A cool Cafe next door is a bonus.
Amazing views! Park was very clean as well as the restrooms! Lots of parking options and pull outs! 5 Stars! We have Annual National Park Pass, but entry fee is $30 per vehicle!
Very informative, only the blonde lady with glasses at the information desk could be a little friendlier. You had the impression that when you realized that we were foreign tourists, you just wanted to cash in quickly and then move on. She was already leaving and you almost had to shout after her that you had another question, which she then answered, obviously a bit annoyed!
We were given very good and detailed advice. The employees are very competent and friendly! A little tip: if you want to visit more than 3 national parks, then buy the Annual Pass for $80 - it's really worth it! We got the tip from a nice employee! Thank you again
We LOVED the park, but staff were kinda rude, and clueless in the visitor center. More interested about chatting with each other and leaving post while we were clearly standing there waiting for help. Inappropriate for sure. Had to repeat our request THREE times.don't think our Seattle accent was the problem. This did NOT reflect on the ladies at the cash register who were on point and helpful. Get the fresh lemonade next door.really good!
Great views, great rocks, they look amazing and fun for climbers. Unique vegetation for a European.
The staff probably doesn't know their own park. We photographed your well-known rock formation a few years ago. This year we wanted to go back to this place whose name we no longer knew. We had a photo that we showed the staff at the tourist information center and wanted to know where it was. No one could tell us this, although there are postcards of the rock formation.
Good to experience different flora and fauna with kids. Don't miss the Oasis Mara point - it's a hidden gem!
This is a beautiful park! It's extremely large. You can't see it all in a day or even in a week. It has many lovely vistas! And there are some great little picnic spots too. I didn't camp here but it's definitely worth camping here for a day or two.
We were very well advised and prepared for our tour to the national park! The gift shop is great.
Okay visitor center but I do like a few of the options in the gift shop. The museum area is a bit lacking but not too bad.
The Ocean is a Desert with its Life Underground and the perfect disguise Above, Horse with No Name.
