JR Homes Inc, Chico CA

I sued JR Homes in small claims court and won. You should sue him, too. He withheld my full deposit and tried to charge me an additional $500+ on a unit we lived in for 5 years. He violated civil code 1950.5 and provided improper documentation, and the judge awarded me my deposit back plus damages. You can look up his record on the Butte County court website and see that there have been other tenants that have taken him to court, too. Both of them were awarded something in mediation. Email me if you want to know what I did. Slumlords are bad for Chico, and they should have to sit in front of a judge and try to justify their behavior. Renters deserve safe and enjoyable housing, and JR Homes violates many aspects of the CA civil code and CA safety code. Truly one of the worst rental companies in Butte county, if not the absolute worst.

They don't offer any online payment or transfers, which means we have to hand deliver or mail a check every month, which in the year of 2023 is absolutely insane. The repair services are bare minimum every time, ensuring they get the biggest return on the inflated rent prices. Top notch!

Horrible management company. When I moved out, they came in and tried to charge me a ridiculous amount for a simple cleaning service, and stated I left a ton of trash, which I have videos of the apartment to prove that I did not. These people are nuts
