Very nice staff and they have newer mats. The grass area looked pretty good as well as the putting green.

The chipping area had several people out there today and plenty of room for everyone.

JR South Bay is a family-oriented venue suitable for golfers of all ages ranging from beginner to seasoned golfer. With affordable rates, they offer a driving range with both mats and grass, a dual-level putting area, and a good sized pitching/chipping area with an adjacent bunker. The range is lighted for evening practice. The staff is friendly and has a range of associated teaching professionals offering instruction in English, Spanish, and Korean for all skill levels. Snacks, sodas and water are available for a modest charge at the club house. This is my go-to practice facility. The ambiance is good!

Good place to practice your swing either on real grass or on the artificial turf. You can enjoy your practice under the sun or in the shade.
Bucket of balls is a little expensive but i guess like everything else the price went up.

This range has so much untapped potential. The good: many lanes to hit from mats or "grass" as well as area to practice chipping. It also has lights and is open until 9pm. The bad: the grass in the range is horrible with so many holes and uneven ground that it's tough to find a good level and grassy spot to hit from. It's tough to practice when you have a horrible lie on the range. The grass in the chipping areas is a thick tough grass that I haven't seen on any nearby course. And the "greens" on the chipping area are full of holes and not maintained. I wish owners would improve this range. It would save me from driving 20 minutes to a better range.
