JRDN Restaurant has a prime beachfront location with eating outdoors, indoors and just on the edge of both. The sunset while we ate and the ambiance was lovely.

The dinner menu is small enough to perfect each dish and I can say that each item we had was done very well. We had 2 different sushi rolls that were devine; 2 types of oysters served with 3 delicious sauces; lamb lollipops seared to perfection with a perfect salsa verde smear; charred broccoli and braised short rib with fig demi. The short rib was as tender as I've had it with a bit too much fig demi for my taste.

I would definitely eat here again.

Ahimsa tuna nachos, blackened salmon sandwich and drinks were a total hit. This place is right across Pacific Beach. Our server was incredible. Every reco exceeded our expectations. Cheers to the weekend!

Excellent experience here! Ahi tuna tacos and fried calamari are big portions and soooo yummy. We also got the halibut which was very good. Only complaint was that the halibut meal wasn’t that big for the price, the corn was so good with the fish but needed more of it.

The food was excellent and so was the staff (including the bouncer!). Our Waitress was expert on the menu and paid attention to our table. This was for Father's Day as well as my parent's 56th anniversary. We sat on the patio (bring a sun hat) and had nice ocean views. The steak and eggs dish is a bit of a misnomer as there is very little meat in the rolled tacos, but overall the meal was excellent. Best bang for the buck is the pancakes. They are huge and delicious. Our waitress even brought out a gratis treat for the special occasion. The dress code states business casual, but this must be for evening as the dress was informal all around. We will be returning.

Laid back seafood-centric restaurant on the boardwalk in North PB. The lunch menu was small, consisting of sandwiches, salads and sushi. The salmon sandwich was tasty with sushi grade grilled salmon on a brioche bun with tzatziki sauce and pickled onions. The potato salad was average. Service was very good. The menu and wine list are overpriced.

Eating at the beach should be just like this. I've visited JRDN twice now in the last month and each time met my expectations and beyond. Between the friendly and fast service, and amazing food this is my go to spot in Pac Beach. Weekend brunch: The best biscuits and gravy I've had on the west coast. The biscuits were so light and tasty and the sausage gravy was comforting. Lunch: Enjoyed the ahi tuna nachos served with crunchy, munchy tasty wonton chips and a delicious sriracha aioli. The tri tip dip is packed with flavor and elevates the sandwich from good to great. The yellowtail tacos were well seasoned, cooked perfectly and the accompaniments gave just the right amount of crunch that you want in a taco. Service both times was on point, the staff all help each other out and the overall ambience is casual, but professional and fun.

Hands down the best brunch place with a view! My boyfriend and I eat here every other Sunday. We love it! The veggie scramble is amazing and I love the avocado toast. The fries are the best in San Diego. Everyone is always nice and attentive. We spent a lot on drinks and food so we always expect service to be excellent.

Wonderful place to have dinner. Right off the beach, next to the walking path, views are amazing. Eating outside was extremely tranquil - and we were sitting on the furthest table next to a wedding! The food was really good - shared a number of small plates between the two of us, which allowed us to taste a variety of dishes. Service was great - they knew when to come at the right times but also give space to enjoy the meal and atmosphere. If not staying in the area, suggest to take an Uber - as the area is busy and parking can be difficult.

They offer valet parking which is prefect considering how difficult it can be to find parking in the area. I made our reservation for 6: 45PM for an outside table. Turned out to be perfect because you have a great view of the sun setting over the ocean while you dine at that time! The service was great and the drinks were delicious. The food was good but, in my opinion, a little overpriced for what we got. To be expected because of the location of the restaurant. Great spot for a date or a small group of friends. Would definitely go again.

Dessert was great. Service was not great. They didn’t put down plates to share the appetizers nor serving utensils nor dessert spoons. At one point my friend got up and got spoons from the waiters station.
Stars for the view and taste of food.

Fav place in Pacific Beach. I love sitting at the bar, drinking good cocktails, chatting with other friendly guests and the bar staff. I don't live in PB but always feel like a local when I visit. My default plate - the Rolls (sushi not bread!) The patio is also well protected from the sea breeze and get a patio window to watch the parade of characters along the Malecon.

My name is Kay Bates and I am the broker/owner of Bates Realty. I love the location of this place. The drinks, views and food are incredible. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area. I am a huge fan of this menu!

10 out of 10. I’m always cautious of tourist traps in tourist towns. This place is not one. Legit, every dish we ordered including the service we experienced. JRDN is top notch, and I live in Vegas so I’m used to excellent food and service.

Next time we’re back in San DeeahhGo (I believe that’s Spanish for something) we will absolutely be back for a meal.

Would 100% recommend the:
Calimari, ahi nachos, clam chowder and lamb lollipops.

Came here and had dinner with a friend. My lamb chops uwas not cooked how I wanted them. Sent back and still wasn't right. We also had calamari and they were over cooked and dry because they were over cooked. The only thing that was good were the drinks.

Pretty gourmet food, esp for mega-casual PB & beachside PB.

Maybe a tad too much salt & pepper on the meats, otherwise all pretty good & delish. The carrot cake def A+, one sorbet had a odd “fishy” smell & flavor…?

Fun atmosphere; laid back with a view of the beach. Went at sunset and it was excellent. Service was incredible and the food spectacular. I loved the drinks also, very fast and precisely made. A great experience here. I had not been in a long time, but i remembered why we went in the first place. Highly recommend this place for a nice night out.

Had oysters on the half shell, and lobster blt. Oysters came with three sauces including mignonette. Lobster blt was very good, but to my taste buds I felt the Lobster was slightly overshadowed by the tarragon. Great location overlooking the beach with indoor and outdoor seating. The wait staff was very attentive.

High-end restaurant with a gorgeous view. You are literally across the sidewalk from the beach here. We got a bottle of rose and the ahi tuna nachos, they were to die for! Would definitely recommend, so many interesting flavors together. We also got the steamed mussels and fried calamari. All 3 were more than enough to share between the 2 of us, we did not finish everything. The nachos especially were a very large serving.

Decided to try out JRDN for our anniversary on a Tuesday night ~5pm. The hostess wouldn’t seat us anywhere except the bar because we didn’t have a reservation. Multiple tables were empty inside and out the entire time we were there. The prime rib was probably the best I’ve ever had, the Mac and Cheese was so so, probably wouldn’t order it again. I’ll be back sometime, and I’ll make a reservation, even though I tend to go to PB when it’s not tourist season. MAKE A RESERVATION

Our evening started with very pleasant and efficient service at the bar by Victor who served us delicious and potent cocktails. The supper that followed was made all the more pleasant by the proximity of the beach and the heat lamps but more so by the very knowledgeable and friendly service by Marty and Skyler. The food was inventive and delicious. Overall, a wonderful restaurant
