J's Barbershop, Menifee CA

Amazing fade every time. Always a good conversation, even though I'm an introvert. J - especially, is a cool guy. Also, it's hard to find a barbershop with the classic, nostalgia inducing atmosphere. I won't go anywhere else.

I called this place on 9-9-23 @ 3: 15pm and spoke to guy. I wanted to ask a couple of reasonable questions. I asked the price for a men's fade, he stated $25. When I asked if they guarantee their cuts, he actually asked what I meant. When I qualified the question to him, his response was to tell me that opinions vary his or mine. I asked whose head was the hair upon, he literally stated "his own", obviously unprepared to yield to customer satisfaction. Then, obviously not wanting to worry about customer satisfaction and assurance of skilled work he said he'd pass on offering a cut. He is concerned whether the customer is satisfied, only that he get paid. I guess no one should worry about their appearance, only that you pay someone regardless of their quality. I've been cutting hair since 1991, these "kids" need to grow up and learn a few skills instead of feeling entitled. You really want someone like this cutting your hair?

Gilbert is the best! Always does whatever my son asks for, he is very kind to my little 5 year old too! We have also had my daughters hair cut by a few kind ladies there and they look so nice afterwards! Thank you team!

COOL LITTLE BARBER SHOP. OWNER AND VICKI ARE REALLY NICE. THE OTHER PEOPLE IGNORE YOU WHEN U WALK IN. DON'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THERE'S A CUSTOMER THAT JUST WALKED IN SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE ONLY THERE FOR THEIR REGULARS. I WOULD ONLY GO BACK WITH THE OWNER OR VICKY.

My husband just went in for a clean up and all I have to say is they definitely need real barbers. The female barber cut his neck all around and didn’t even follow the instructions on what he wanted. Definitely the last time he was there

Nice barbershop but very unorganized, no one acknowledges you when you walk in, no sign in sheet. If you don’t have a appointment expect to be ignored

They do an amazing job. I recommend getting your hair cut there. Ask for Clem. You will leave happy and clean.

There always seems to be a disconnect with scheduling and appointment versus when you actually get seated. Took over an hour to get in the chair

This is the best place around. I have been going to Jay for years. The owner works alongside the rest of the team. Military friendly and a great atmosphere.

Always courteous, friendly, and proffesional. Have been visiting Penny for years. Very laid back and kid friendly.

Not much has changed but the pricing. But I understand, everything has gone up, and their price increase is in line with other local barbers.

Schedule appts, they are always busy, even though you can manage walk ins at times.

Had a bad experience at this shop. Walk in so I was happy it was not too busy and didn’t have to wait. Told the young lady I wanted 1/2 inch all around because wanted to keep some length. She appeared to be doing a rush job because wasn’t taking her time at all. She asked if I wanted the sides tapered, but I didn’t realized that meant all the way to my skin. Needless to say I was very disappointed when she gave me the mirror. The next day I went to another shop to have my hair redone, I basically wasted money on another hair cut and tip….

Best barbershop in town. Everyone there is capable, competent and has a positive attitude. The ambience is great and the pricing is comparable.
