No water on site. 116 site was ideal for kids. Seen a raven, blue Jay and a coyote every day. Beautiful night under the stars

OK camping spot, skull rock trail starts in the camp ground. 1.4 mile loop. There is no water where we camped. Wind would pickup late morning and die down later evening, mid 80s during the day. Camp spot was at the 4300 ft level. We are coasters so roads are mostly down hill. Insure you carry you pass/receipts if leaving the park on bike, need it to get back in. Always carry water

Nice spacious campsites, pavement fairly level for RV/camper. Short easy hiking trail to Skull rock, access to many rocks to scramble on for great views.

Jumbo Rocks Campground is amazingly pretty. It’s rather small and very busy. Lot’s of car traffic driving through the narrow campground roads. Be prepared for high traffic.

Great campground! It gets busy in the season, so reservations are essential. Clean, easy to access, and beautiful. Lots of easy hikes and bouldering for the family.

Stayed a site 31 & 32. March is perfect climate during the day but prep for low 40°’s at night.

There’s lots of day hikes and plenty of activities for families. Getting to have a real wood fire is a big bonus.

We had a great campsite! We totally lucked out as Tenters. Some of the sites were super small and right on the street but ours is great

Such a beautiful campground but look ahead at your site to make sure you can fit your tent! Several sites are so tiny that there's no way you can even pitch a tent. Our site was amazing, privacy and fit our tent. Site #89

We loved Jumbo Rocks although to be honest we liked Ryan a little better - Jumbo Rocks is so big and there were a lot of people around, so it didn't feel as remote as Ryan. However, as the name implies, there are SO MANY ROCKS to climb around on, which our 9 year old totally loved. He was scampering around morning to night. And the campground itself was clean and well maintained.

Come prepared to boondock! One of the most BEAUTIFUL parks I've ever been to. Gorgeous sun rises and amazing views from everywhere in the park. Beautiful walking, driving, biking trails. We had a bit of an issue with our solar acting up. But we did have our generator, so it worked out. No access to potable water, had to drive miles to get it, so make sure you have it before entering the park. The sites are VERY small so choose wisely. The road in is a bit steep. BUT, all in all, I would definitely recommend this park if you are capable of boondocking. We will be back!

This is an awesome camp site. Lots of hiking, lots of rocks/boulders to get rid of that kid energy. I've been all over JTNP, this is where my kids ask to go

Spaces are on the smallish side, but location can't be beat. Best to walk the campground and get an idea of what site fits your needs.

Great campground, quiet but not lonely with great privacy. Easy access to clean vault toilets and (obviously) great location for Joshua Tree camping.

The camping space is pretty large, with easy access to restroom. It's also in the middle of the park with easy access to attractions (hidden valley trail, and cactus garden)

Stayed in several sites here and absolutely loved it. Come prepared with plenty of supplies because you won't want to leave! Great location to explore the park. No cell service.

Amazing campground. This was the view from my tent. The campground is right in the heart of Joshua Tree, close to many great hikes.

Great campground! I have never experienced a more scenic campground. We had site 103 it was great! We could see Joshua trees and boulders and had privacy from the adjoining spots. Plus they allowed dogs
