Juniper Springs Resort, Mammoth Lakes CA

The pool area and rental facilities are awesome, the rooms can be beat up and dated but it is a fantastic location

Everything is broken (hot tubs, ice machines, whatever), but the price is right. Don't come here expecting a high-end resort.

Great location. Slightly beat-up interiors. Very courteous shuttle service. Overpriced for facility compared to others at Mammoth. Needs a refresh.

Great place to stay. Easy access to skiing. Wish the pool was cleaner and the Jacuzzis were in better working order. Staff was accomodating. Will stay again.

The carpets weren't very clean especially in the hallways, but i guess to keep up with tne intense traffic of skiers walking with wet or muddy boots

This place is not worth the money. I was going to stayed here for three nights and ended up checking out by day two. The bed was horrible. First off, the hotel clerk that checked us in instantly lied to us and I still don’t understand why. He said he upgraded us to a complementary suite! But it was just the same studio condo I had already picked out online. So I don’t know why he even said that. Anyways, I have slept in a lot of hotels but this room 549 was impossible to have a good nights sleep in. The pillows were so worn out and the mattress was so ridiculously firm. In addition both of the thermostats in our room did not work at all! The room kept getting too hot! And the dinner table looked old and probably had been spilled on far to many times before. It had multiple splinters sticking out of it that would poke you when you tried to eat at the table. But the cleaning crew was cool they got the room cleaned fast and everything looked spotless and they did the dishes! I did like being able to walk out to eagle express and hop on the lift.
However, when I told the hotel clerk (same guy) about my issues he told me they could not swap out the pillows. So I decided at that point to check out so I went down stairs and was greeted by a lady who listened to my issues and she started to see how she could fix it. Then the same guy (clerk from before) came over and all of a sudden things changed. I told them both my issue with the room and he didn’t seem to care much about the thermostats not working and then he took over and basically steam rolled over the lady that was helping me. So not a great experience with staff either. And to make thing worst the clerk didn’t let me get a refund for the 3rd night even though I checked out on the second night late around 2 or 3pm. The guy said due to the 11am check out time he would not issue any credits etc even after hearing all the issue. He honestly didn’t care or thought I was making it up or something. Even though the girl next to him was trying to figure out how to make things work. They could have had me swap rooms or suggested any kind of solution and I would have probably been ok with it but they didn’t. So I left.and needless to say but I won’t be coming back.

Overall - Not worth it and very disappointing. I could have stayed at an airBnB condo or some other place in town near mammoth for cheaper and had a much better nights sleep. The fact that I tried more than once to let staff know I was having issues and they didn’t do anything to help was unreal.

Very nice interior. The hotel offers lots of great features including a free shuttle service to any place in Mammoth and it runs until 12am! The hot tubs are awesome for chilling in. Very friendly staff including Niña who offered great insights into restaurants and the local area! Would visit again.

No on site bar/food or AC! This is not a resort anyway, it's sign posted as an lodge. Room was ok but there was no AC and no bar on site. The town is nice but most places close at 9pm.

Checked in, and direct TV wasn't working, told the front desk and they said they didn't have anyone to fix it, to wait till morning. Morning came and nothing. Terrible service.

Room had strong forest fire smell, balcony door was open when we arrived at room so smell was not too bad, when door closed to sleep it was very bad.will never go back

Awesome palce (read palace) great pools, beautiful views, staff has kind a - I am employed attitude, but overall great experience!

Loved staying here! Wonderful mountainside view with a balcony, and nice amenities including a full-sized refrigerator and kitchen. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. Only thing was that the room got a little warm at times due to the lack of AC, but if you come at the right time, it doesn't even matter.

It sereved it's purpose but I just wasn't overly impressed especially for the rate that was charged!

Beautiful view right next to the chairlifts. The suites are roomy and the employees are friendly. Underground parking makes finding a place to park easy. Close to "the village" where all the evening excitement happens.

Good summer apartment for an overnight stay. The 2-bedroom aparments are good size for 4-6 adults. Staff is very friendly

Great customer support, great resort credits to local restaurants, activities and shops, great views! We celebrated our anniversary here!

Overall, our stay wasn't terrible. In fact, I enjoyed it a lot the rooms were large, breakfast was delicious, but they didn't have AC or a screen door to maybe let air in. We had to use the small fans they provided, plus the one we brought and were still hot. I would recommend bringing a fan or two in case it's hot.

One of the better hotels in Mammoth. Similar to the village, but next to Eagle Lodge. My room had a small kitchen, living room with fold out sofa, and nice balcony. The carpet is wearing out, and the coffee maker was broken, but overall I'd stay here again.
