JunTong SulLungTang reviews
13Ordered oxtail soup it was delicious. The woman working there brought out some sides and rice and sweetly and thoughtfully explained what each dish was for as she placed it on the table. While we were enjoying our soup I heard her taking a phone order in Spanish no less - impressive. Can’t wait to bring my kids here.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! The owner is so friendly and the galbitang is no-doubt the BEST! The pickled radish, purple rice, and wasabi soy sauce are also my favorites!
My absolute favorite sullungtang place in Koreatown! I have intense cravings for the broth I swear. Everything is fresh, delicious, and customizable with the green onion and salt amount. The kimchi has the perfect amount of flavor and sourness. The service is great and they always bring out the soup within 5 minutes of ordering. Highly recommend!
We ordered 1 and 2. Overall good. I’m not a bit fan of intestines, but number 1 tastes good with rice. Don’t forget to add the green onion and salt. I think it is recommended to eat with rice. I pure the rice in the soup, not bad. The kimchi is also good, I like it.
Best kimchee in LA, it is fresh, juicy and not overly spicy. Made fresh everyday. You can even buy it to go. Oh, and the soups are real good. I recommend the oxtail. Korean ladies who staff the place are polite and helpful. Atmosphere is cozy. Ample parking, no valet needed.
Nice old tradition Sullung tang run by Korean owners. There is a parking lot so it is really nice in KYown. This restaurant doesn’t have much seats. Waiting time can be long during spike hour.
Seolleongtang is an amazing delicious food. Only a couple of places (that i know of) in Koreatown make it. One of my favorite foods that i often crave.
I really appreciate the hospitality and the amazing food. It is our first time visiting the restaurant and the waitresses were really friendly and helpful explaining food to us.
The food are delicious and authentic! We really glad of this memorable experience! Would definitely come back in the future!
Comfort food at its finest at JunTong SulLungTang in Ktown. This small establishment serves the most authentic sul lung tang (ox bone soup) and galbi tang (short rib soup).
This mom & pop restaurant is such an amazing hidden gem, I love this place even more than Hanbat, another well known place for sullungtang. They serve huge portions of soup that feel warm and homemade with love. Their side dishes are simple but extremely delicious, this shop’s fresh kimchi is the best I’ve ever had.
️Ordered:
1. Sul lung tang ($18)
2. Galbi tang ($23)
3. Jar of fresh kimchi ($17)
The soups are so rich with the nutrients from the beef bones and are esp satisfying on days where you crave a nourishing soup. The sullungtang comes completely unsalted so you can adjust the sodium to your liking The galbi tang is so flavorful and comes with 4 large short ribs that fall off the bone when you pick them up! The sullungtang used to be my favorite but now I think the galbi tang has taken its place.
Each portion comes with a generous portion of tender meat, noodles, and rice. The purple rice is my favorite but you have to tell the waitress in advance!
Was craving comforting beef soup and this hit the spot. The galbitang (beef rib) and oxtail soup were soooooooooooo good. Service is efficient lol. Would definitely come again.
Authentic, flavorful and delicious.
The service is straight forward and fast.
The soups are unbelievable.
Galbi Thang is the best.
Small mom/pop style korean traditional restaurant. Soups are all very rich and home style. Very hearty and they prob use good ingredients as well.
