JW Marriott San Francisco Union Square reviews
5We're Marriott loyalists and usually love staying at JW's. The hotel staff were great and everyone was really friendly. There is a $25/day resort fee which can be used as $25 food and beverage credit (which is what we did.) We called a few times to have something delivered to our room and it was delivered immediately. We received a free tote bag and trolley ticket which was appreciated. It's close to the cable car pick up. We never felt unsafe around our hotel but were advised to steer clear of the Tenderloin area. Breakfast in the hotel was also delicious. Because of status, we were offered a higher floor or larger room. We took the larger room which was great, but a high floor would also have been nice to avoid street noise.
The hotel feels like it has been renovated
Looks quite new
But the mirror is dirty enough
Not a big room like the photo showed. Bad price for a small room (small to a expensive hotel). However, location is good.
Rooms are outdated and in need of some serious TLC. This is one of the few JW properties that doesn't align with the rest of them, executive lounge is still closed when the test are open, no breakfast for elites, have to ask 2-3 times to get one thing done.
If you're a Marriott fan, pick literally any other property in the area. The Westin is excellent.
My stay at this particular Hotel was outstanding. Each associate at each point of entry gave above and beyond excellent customer service. The atmosphere was so pleasant. The location was close by for Trolley/Cable Car access which was so convenient to go on to main city attractions. Chinatown was within walking distance. Dinner and drinks was very convenient there at the hotel. If an item is not on the list ask before you walk away. Also, It was very nice to come in to a nice tidy up room after walking miles during our adventures.
