I had an international trip coming up and my light bulb went out almost last min on me. After calling many shops around West and South shores of Tahoe, I was desperate to get my light bulb fixed. Thank god for Karl and his shop who knew it’s not a big deal and was able to squeeze me in without having me come back next week or being turned down for my BMW.

I was in and out. My light bulb fixed. Positive attitude, great service and prices.

I hope I don’t need to come back for a long time, but next time my car will need a doctor - it’s going to be KC Automative again.

I luckily found KC’s Automotive after being treated horribly by Les Schwab. Karl is a great guy! He helped me while the other shop was trying to take advantage of my poor luck. My faith in humanity is restored. Thank you, Karl!

He takes on too much work at times, but is as honest as can be when billing out what was actually done on your vehicle.

Very helpful, called explained my situation, I was asked to bring the jeep in (right after call, on a Saturday afternoon) brought in my jeep Karl looked at it knew exactly what was wrong, brought the jeep back in Monday and it was fixed within the hour.

My family and I went on a nice vacation in South Lake Tahoe with some friends. On the way there, the mechanic light went on in my truck and went into "limp" mode. We made it to South Lake Tahoe but after Googling my make, model and year if my truck and the mechanic light, etc.things were not looking great. My app was saying it was a turbo charger / super charger issue and my heart sank. I just knew this was going to be a crazy expensive fix. KC Automotive was the only place I could find open near where I was staying. Karl was busy helping people when I got there but he made sure to acknowledge me and said he would be right with me. It was not long at all before he looked over my truck and found the induction hose going into the turbo charger had blown off. He got it fixed up super fast and got me back on the road in no time. He was hilarious to talk to and it was clear he knew what he was doing. For what should have probably been a nightmare of a vacation, my family was still able to have an amazing time up there. If you find yourself in beautiful STL and are having car trouble; take it to Karl. He will not only get you on the road again but will do it for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this shop.

Worst automotive experience I’ve ever had. Insulted me the entire time in my choice of vehicle, not understanding my current life situation and that not everyone has money or space to have multiple vehicles. Refused to work on it because the car was wet and snowy even though they were open. Turned me away even though it posed a dangerous health hazard if left un-repaired and joked about it possibly going to kill me. The exhaust came loose near the manifold and was leaking into the cabin. It was a simple quick fix for him but not for me since I don’t have a garage or tools with me on this move. I am honestly still in disbelief at how I was treated. Do not go here. It’s not the same as it use to be

Kc is a super knowledgeable and nice guy. Took a look at my 03 subaru and determined my problem was nothing major while just chatting with me for a bit about future issues that might arise based of the current state of engine. Wouldn't even accept a payment for his time. Highly recommend
