It'd be better if that big guy with mustache working the front desk would just admit he had no idea how to run or manage a Home as well as a women could and asked just asked me to take it over for him so he could go find his amor, finally.

The rooms are at a decent price, nice and clean remodel building.visits are free, not like other hotels near by, where you have to pay 10 dollars for person.number one around here.loved it.

Its shared bathrooms. But the rooms have heating microwaves and refrigerators. Bring bleach though, and shower shoes. The bathrooms were clean. Only thing is it can get loud. Management is nice.

Entire building smells like urine. Horrible location, no effort to make views nice. Wires hanging everywhere, small rooms w no private bathroom. It's overpriced for what it is, go elsewhere!

These other reviews don't make any sense. The staff was extremely accommodating and the rooms were nice. Its San Francisco people and space is limited! Honestly, this is the best deal in town!

It's cozy, but you definitely get what you pay for. The room is sparse with just a bed and sink. There isn't a bathroom or shower in the room itself, and the entire floor shares a communal shower/bathroom unit. However, it's clean and it's located in the city! Read reviews before coming and just be prepared.

Hostel, not in the best area & parked a block away. The room and bathrooms and showers were clean.

This is primarily a residential hotel, though they do have a reasonable daily rate. The shared bathrooms and showers are exceptionally clean and well appointed. Definitely not a luxury hotel but for travelers on a budget, this is likely the best deal you'll find.

I just called them, someone answered like they were not a business and just said " yeah. " I thought i called the wrong number and asked if they were the hotel and they just said, yes. Noting else, not a how can i help you or what can i do for you. I then sort of laughed and asked what their parking situation was like and they hung up on me. Needless to say im sure they are not the best hotel.i wouldn't stay there if it was free.

KAILASH HOTEL
179 Julian Ave, Cross St 16th St.
Mission District San Francisco Ca.

Its very cold even for San Francisco today so the "Hotel" is going to fill up quickly with lots of peolpe that typically live in tents and vans and of course the Kailash "Hotel" like any other SINGLE ROOM OCCUPANCY (SRO) is of course taking their money because 400/wk is most definately easy money. Especially money from probation or corrections to provide a room. One or two on the contract and the other 5 sneak in to get warm. In goes the drama in the small room right next to you. Mr & Mrs Tourist. The drinking which of course leads to the yelling and screaming and throwing things that of course has to hit your wall because the rooms are too small to not reach a wall with a bike wrench or crack pipe. Maybe there are crack heads living there? If having cops there weekly to enforce an eviction is any indication the answer may be yes. Bed bugs you ask? Now how do you really ever get a milliom bugs out of an SRO? Just sleep in a space suit and you''ll be fine.

The problem for real tourists is this place lies to you and your stuck with the place even if its just for one night until you find a safer cleaner real hotel with an actial bathroom and shower in your own room. You wont get that here. Sorry if you brought the kids.

The police raided the place once so expect plain clothes police knocking on your door. Its an honest mistake. I just hope they dont break your door down.

The Kailesh "Hotel" is in fact run with less management instusion which is usually good but in this case it is a poor decision for the owners to not get involved. The population of folks they tend to rent to can be a challenge because they tend to not like rules or being told to leave. When you see "no drugs" on a rental agreement that should be a sign that you should leave.or stay and do drugs. The place should build a toll booth in the hallway for the foot traffic

This one is privately owned so a city compliance check with the police dept, the health dept, and the dept of building inspection- all in one surprise visit is something the city attorney is working on.

Trust your instincts. This is one of the better ones. They painted the outside just this week!
