If I could give them zero stars I would, got in a literal argument with the receptionist (who is probably 20 years older than me) when trying to check my brother in. She would roll her eyes and scoff and me and when I asked her if there was a problem she quickly escalated the situation. She then refused to check in my brother (who was in so much pain he couldn’t even walk) and tried to get security to sit me down when I refused to be talked down to. Security then told her to register my brother, but she ended up leaving the desk and left him in the waiting room for another hour and a half while other patients were being let through. I understand if she was having a rough night, but this whole experience was extremely unprofessional. I’m not from Los Angeles, but I honestly expected more from these places. I honestly wasn’t going to write a review, but the only reason we went to this hospital was because it has the best rating out of all the hospitals near by. So it’s your choice to go here, but this was just my experience and I would prefer never to go there again <3

Although not in the best of neighborhoods, the urology department was outstanding. We traveled over 120 miles to this hospital for an appointment with a specialist. She was the best doctor I've ever met.

Demographics DO make a difference. I had a horrible experience at Centinela ER the previous night and wasn't even seen after over five hours and vomiting in the waiting room. By the way, I came via ambulance to the other ER. Within minutes of stepping foot into this ER I was triaged and treated respectfully. The front desk even gave me an appropriate waiting time - 45 minutes to an hour - which though long, I can still understand because it's an "emergency room". This part of West Los Angeles being around a ten minute drive from Beverly Hills. Within an hour I'd had blood work, an EKG and CT Scan done and was in a room. Dr. Liu was kind, answered all my questions and made me feel less anxious. The entire ER staff was top notch. It's sad to think such stellar service can only happen depending on one's zip code. My parents have been with Kaiser for decades and I can see why.

The people at the entrance are yelling at sick people making them feel worse. It’s ridiculous how miserable the workers are making themselves feeling important through this process. Who are paid by patients insurance

Thank you Google people! Allowing people to express their experiences and concerns may some day help medical facilities executives make changes to improve care. There should be no stars! Bad, very bad experience in ER. In the old days Kaiser was more selective of doctors they hired, now they lower their standards to a new level. After waiting for over 7 hours at another facility and given up, I tried one more time since I wasn’t getting better and went to this one for a even worse experience. Seriously, it looks like they get people right out of med school and put them there. Living with kidney problems for many years, I’m very aware of symptoms when they come, specially stones. This doctor, with horrible bed manners, condescending attitude, tells me I don’t have anything. Seriously! It’s almost laughable! I’ve been in a lot of pain already for another condition for which I had surgery just two and half weeks ago, see a nephrologist every three months to monitor my kidney disease, I come with very bad upper back pain radiating to abdomen, nausea, distended abdomen, and all that comes with it, and not even a nausea medicine to take until I see my urologist, no pain relief medicine either. If I wasn’t in such discomfort I’d start laughing at her weak explanation as she read my tests… that included “well you know the pancreas releases enzymes…. ” like I need to understand or want to understand what a pancreas does! Seriously? When people go to emergency room they need care! Compassion! Treatment! Otherwise they would just be enjoying the beach in Southern California. They need a diagnosis. And if you aren’t capable or qualified to give one, then the next step is to refer to a specialist who can and provide temporary treatment. I used to worked with specialists who should win gold medals for their excellence in medical care. You get a zero! No care, no compassion! It’s ridiculous and pathetic! I was grossly misdiagnosed at Kaiser previously at this same facility, but thought you would deserve another shot. Gone! The good news is, yes you can find great medical facilities in this city, but this one is definitely not going to be one of them until you insist in working with these so called medical professionals with zero understanding of what good quality medical care means. Absolutely unspeakable. And in continuing doing so, the only thing you can expect is complete desastre with serious consequences.

Although there is space in the emergency waiting room, the receptionist tells people accompanying their sick loved ones they ARE NOT ALLOWED to wait in the emergency room area. They have to wait outside where it is dark, cold and dangerous! Kaiser, fix this! You are putting people’s lives in danger.

They were very kind, its unfair how they have to deal with so much pressure because they're the only emergency hospital for miles. Very kind staff

I hate people. At least I thought I did. They seem to have really wanted me to change my mind. Everyone of them was nicer then the next. It made me cry. A new found hope in humanity.

I’m from Texas, I was visiting la and I happened to find out I was pregnant a month ago and sadly miscarried so I went to the nearest hospital that happened to be this one and They couldn’t even tell me how far a long I was, they did a d&c because they definitely scraped my uterus and couldn’t even provide a painkiller mind you I did my research and for a procedure like this they HAVE to give you some type of anesthesia or a sedative to relax you I didn’t get nothing! Not even a pain killer I had go through all that pain! And at the end of the procedure they HAVE to give you some type of pill so you won’t catch an infection! Worse hospital and service I’ve ever gotten! PATHETIC

Security was rude, had a noticeable irritated mood and was not friendly. Waiting rooms are always full unsurprisingly and visitors as well as patients are forced to wait outside or in cars. Communication between staff is unclear and inconsistent.

I’ve been here a few times for a few different health issues. The ER and rooms are clean and neat. The staff here are consistently wonderful. The doctors, nurses, techs, and orderlies are so kind and patient. The quality of care is very good and prompt. I’ve been to a few ERs in LA and this one is one of the absolute best. These people do a wonderful job managing patients especially during COVID.

The amount of care and compassion shown by Nurse Maria and Dr. Akmaji when I made a late night visit to the emergency room led me straight to here. Maria and Dr. Almaji along with the hospital staff were so kind and friendly, and the waiting time wasn’t bad at all. Thanks so much to the Kaiser family for having such honorable & professional people in their group.

When my daughter needed a lung surgery that she had very little chance of survival, Dr Abanani did the surgery and fitting her in between already scheduled surgery. Here she is a year later alive and living to the fullest.

Nurse Esther R is a really Good nurse. She is nice and kind and her voice is very good. Doctor Bartlett Teresa Lin was kinda mean and she kinda yelled like she didn’t care about my health

I don’t know how anyone could give this place a bad review! They are beyond excellent as far as patient care, cleanliness, diagnosis & timely service. Sandra was my nurse & she was not only a lovely individual but she went out of her way to ensure I was comfortable and understood all the Dr. ’s instructions. Dr. Swain didn’t rush through his visit with me even though I was there for a minor injury and not for a single second did I feel judged or looked down on for anything. I promise if you go here you will receive exceptional service & a thorough exam. I wish all hospitals were like this. Thank you to the entire staff!
