Kaleidoscope, Mission Viejo CA

I love the Kaleidoscope because the octagon dome looks so nice. I love the movie theater in this mall at Mission Viejo better than The Shops. I always visit this mall when I go to the city of Mission Viejo.

This center is dying fast. Lots of empty suites. There are even churches filling up the empty spaces. So sad.

We visited the movie theaters. They upgraded it since we had last been there. Really enjoyed it. The seats are very comfortable.

Went to a great movie, book club 2. BUT, 30 minutes of ads starting at the movie time was clearly frustrating. Almost left. Will try different theatre next time.

We ate at Pinini Kabob Grill. Really good and fresh food. Big portions too. Parking can sometimes be difficult there. For whatever reason just outside their door is the worst sewer smell everytime. If I remember I hold my breath.

This mall no longer has the vast selection of stores available as most businesses have closed and left. Don’t waste your time here unless youre only coming here to see a movie and then have Sals pizza afterwards. (Yogurtland, islands, Jumpin, jammin, and other businesses are gone.).

Escalator Out of Service all the time. Read other reviews going back 5 years, escalators broke. Violation of Certificate of Occupancy.
No city enforcement. Why not?

Need better signage. From the parking lot taking the elevator to the top floor: your signage is confusing. I had to ask a parking attendant.

A kaleidoscope is supposed to offer a visually psychedelic experience not barren desolation.

This mall is awesome - stuff just doesn’t seem to find good traction here. But I’m a fan! Great movies, easy parking, new location of a Mariners church location too!

Sal's pizza is legit. Tastes just like NYC pizza.
The Tesla chargers are in the basement level but they are installing more.
It would be smarter if they installed them where two cars could use a charger by mounting the chargers on an island. Oh well. There is definitely a smarter way to make/install the chargers.

Not as many eating options anymore for lunch. Went to Buffalo wild wings. Expensive and went home hungry.: - (. No options for gluten free or low carb.

This piece is in transition right now so there are a lot of vacant slots. I hope it can pick up again to its former popularity as it is a super convenient location with a nice layout.

Kaleidoscope is a chill location, not to crowded and always a great time. Bring a small blanket or extra coat can get cold sometimes!

Oh my goodness, this place is falling into disrepair. The escalators haven't worked in weeks, the stairs are crumbling and dangerous, and half the shops are closed.

This place is so run down and it shows everywhere you look! If it wasn't such an odd building, it might serve better as an apartment comlex.

Please get a faster elevator or at least get the escalator working still 5 stars fir Laser tag
