Kang Kang Food Court reviews
9Their foods are very good, with many very hard to find items. I crave for boiled peanuts and theirs really hit the spot! I ordered two-3 item combos, a single item of pork leg stew, and fried donut, all come to $29.10! I only speak English so I mistook her total to be $39+ instead of $29+ so I told her to keep the change and was fishing out more singles from my wallet. She told me that was too much tips! What an honest, hard-working people there! It’s normally out of my way but I’ll make the point to support them whenever I can swing by ️
I will warn you, Don’t go there if you can’t speak Chinese. They are unbelievably racist especially the heavy woman with glasses. She will curse you out!
A very typical Chinese takeout restaurant. The food is so so (a little in the salty side). They do have very good fried bao.
The pan-fried Shanghai buns are a must try. Sometimes they are a little dry, but it's worth coming back to try again.
Of all the USA cities I've been to w/significant choices of Chinese restaurants, nothing too fancy, Monterey Park/SGV (LA) beats NYC, SF, Toronto, Chicago, Boston.and of all the Chinese fast (er) food, Xiaomei/Kang Kang is the best value; a meal for 2-3 only about 25-30 AND you'll most likely have enough leftovers for another complete meal to carry out and save for dinner in the evening or lunch the next day. Blokes and crumpets from China, and much local Latinos know this and will stretch their hard-earned dollars farther with a great food service like this!
This Chinese snack bar is on the side of the commercial street, in a place with very busy traffic Very affordable and cheap $10 for four dishes and the soup tastes great I eat here often
After hearing everyone rave about this place, I've finally been able to pay a visit, and it definitely lived up to the hype. This place is such an authentic, down-to-earth, neighborhood staple. They make all the simple comfort food dishes so well and so cheap! The stars of the show shengjianbao and xiaolongbao were so juicy and simply flavor bombs! I'd definitely be driving out here more often!
Sheng jian bao and salted pork and vegetable rice! This place was very nostalgic and also cheap. 2 orders of baos and 1 order of rice fed 3 people and we were very full. The sheng jian bao were very fresh and tasty. Honestly comparable to the ones in Shanghai would definitely recommend this place and these specific dishes. I didn’t try the combo dishes but they looked great too!
