Japanese Restaurant Kanpai reviews
17Pretty nice little sushi place in downtown Palo Alto. Selection of rolls were good, but not too many specialty rolls. Also, roll size is not very big. Having said that, the food was really good and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town. Check it out!
Great service, fresh sushi and Poke. Prices are reasonable for Palo Alto. Highly recommend.
Under new ownership but still as amazing as ever. Even though I miss the umeshiso rolls. Try the omakase - we were very please.
One of my personal favorites. Love sitting at the bar and the service/menu selection is always on point.
Nice sushi place! Reasonable prices, good range of options, quick service, nice chill music. Not too fancy in appearance, but still a good option, no complaints.
Amazing food! Came on a wednesday evening and it seemed like a popular time yet our food got served so quickly! We got the gyoza, salmon and avocado rolls, chicken teriyaki, and tempura. Would definitely come back!
What a great place for sushi in downtown PA. Don't come here to party, come here to enjoy an awesome selection of sushi and sake. Excellent sake menu, from simple to complex. Owners are super nice and always tend to their guests directly. Sushi chef is top notch. Check the specials menu board for seasonal favorites!
The fish we're good, not super fresh thought, the minute they put lemons with the sashimi I gotten worries, but it was not bad.
All around amazing! Absolutely delicious and the staff are extremely friendly! Truly heart broken to find out they are moving, have been coming for more than 14 years. But the wonderful staff and menu are moving to there sister restaurant Kanpai Sushi, at 330 Lytton Avenue Palo Alto, CA 94301
Last day of business August 21,2021. Sushi quality is good. AC was not on and it gets a bit warm inside.
If you want to sit down at a place that finds pride in everything they do, this is the place to spend your coin. The place is clean, the staff is kind. They care about presentation. When facing your chopsticks in the correct position is important to host (which it was) then you know important things like food prep quality is also important. The fish is great here. The sauce is great. We came for gyoza and a roll and left after eating four rounds of food. It's been so long since we had good sushi, we completely gorged ourselves, and we'll be back.
I'm usually not too picky with sushi, but my husband and I both thought that this sushi was sub-par, especially for the price and quantity. We ordered to-go and the service was good. We have had better sushi at Daigo.
Coworker introduced me to this place while on a work trip. Can honestly say it’s become one of my favorite sushi spots in the Bay. Highly recommend!
It wasn't worth the $75 dollars we spent.the fish didn't taste fresh and the chicken was to salty only good thing was the soup.
Small sushi portions I was disappointed
They kept it waiting for 1 hour and I didn't get the order. The number of employees is insufficient and irrelevant. Victim.
So beautiful, even during shelter in place! While I'd prefer to eat at Koma Sushi Menlo Park, I was so glad Koma was open for pickup! Delicious as always!
All Delicious! Love this place:)
