Kasa Niche Hotel Redwood City

I know a lot of people complain about the lack of parking, but I stayed at the Sheraton in Palo Alto last week and had to pay 25 dollars a day to park in the hotels lot. Niche has a convenient parking lot behind the hotel, it is only a dollar an hour, and free from 8pm till 8am. This hotel has lots of places to go in walking distance, a dozen or more places to eat and a movie theater within about 2 blocks. Nice, clean, modern, and over-all a good experience and yes I had a bathroom in my room. Also it was half the cost of the Sheraton with lots more to do in walking distance.

Great little hotel, perfect for a solo traveler for work or leisure. I would definitely recommend it to anyone I know!

It was absolutely perfect to stay at the Niche that there was plenty of spaces to un wind. Spend time in the room and feel comfortable like I was at my home a bit. Supper easy check in process It’s seamless! Room was neat, clean and modern with all amenities that we need. Located in the middle of beautiful downtown to walk around with nice restaurants. ️

Had extremely high hopes for this virtual check-in hotel as an employee of a tech company. However, their facial recognition in their pre-check in process kept failing. I attempted this at least 5 times, taking 3 photos each time with my phone (front, left, and right). I chatted with a representative and they simply kept offering a new link to verify (which failed again unsurprisingly). I even offered a live video call, a second piece of identification like a passport, and verification on-site (which were all denied). When the problem couldn't be resolved, they just state "our management team (or tech team) is aware of the issue and will be working on it". Hours later, I return from work and the pre-check in webpage still states I failed to verify my identity. After starting another chat, another representative simply offered to restart the verification process. (it's going to fail again so give me a new solution?) Looks like nothing was solved during all that time?

It's very sad because I would've been a repeat customer. Hope this review was enough identity verification.

I was a little reluctant at first due to parking reviews. But as it turned out there was never a problem.
Restaurants are all within walking distance. Clean and modern.

Rooms are definitely tiny and cozy. Biggest downfall was how thin the walls were, it was easy to hear a lot of noise outside or in the hallway.

Loved my stay at Kasa Niche. It was really clean, staff were helpful, and the automated systems that had in place were perfect.

This was my first experience staying in a Kasa Niche hotel and it was a wonderful experience. It's beautiful, in a fantastic location, clean, with all the amenities of a large hotel chain, without all the hassles of having to wait to check in, etc. The idea of allowing guests to not have to interact with hotel employees, especially when your trip is short, is an amazing idea, that I believe will be a hue hit with anyone who tries it! A+ KASA!

The hotel itself was great. Just know what you're signing up for and follow the instructions. If you are booking through a third party service (like a corporate travel platform), be aware that you may need to contact Kasa to ensure you get their messages. The room had a mini fridge and a small desk, which was great. (One obvious omission in my room was no power outlets near the bed.) I also enjoyed the ability to stream apps from my phone on the large TV. The location is fantastic; be sure to check out the nearby Coffeebar. There's a 15% discount for guests!

Excellent, comfortable, well-thought-out hotel room. Only problem is TV access/setup is unnecessarily complicated. I ended up using my laptop with youtube TV instead.

Great location in downtown, the room are exactly describe and are on the smaller side. But the rooms have a mini fridge, coffee machine, bathroom, safe and lighted mirror!

It is a great hotel. I only wish the room I was in had a night stand or a plug near the bed for my phone. Besides that, great experience.

I really enjoyed the stay. Great location with some fantastic food and drink places nearby. Convenient to everything. Cute interiors. Great use of space by Kasa creating a reasonably priced stay in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Love that check in/check out process is free of cumbersome human interaction. Room is clean and very minimalistic.

This is the second time I have stayed here on a business trip to Stanford. I may return because the experience is generally hassle free. One issue I had this time was extending my stay by 1 night.an Expedia support agent was not helpful at all; I became enraged by his refusal to assist me with my concerns. The Kasa support agent however, was wonderful and solved my problem within a couple minutes.
