I've seen 2 shows now. Both were thoroughly enjoyable. The performers are so talented and obviously having a lot of fun. It's weird and magical. I'll be back for every show they put on

Every show has been so much fun! We've introduced friends to Misfit Cabaret and they can't wait for the next show. There are so many amazing, talented artists performing in Misfit Cabaret. It blows me away every time.

I discovered Misfit Cabaret earlier this year, and it enthralled me. It is such a fun, whirling maelstrom of rock and roll, pop culture, burlesque and drag!

Misfit Cabaret is that rarest of things: affordable, creative, diverse, one-of-a-kind performance art going on in this glitzy, overpriced, San-Francisco-themed amusement park we used to call San Francisco. This is the real deal people!

Misfit Cabaret "Bite" was a glorious and gorgeous production, written and led by the mesmerizing Kat Robichaud, with a fabulous cast of bloody creatures! Loved every minute of it!

Love the variety of acts and overall top notch stagecraft! A fun event to bring a group of friends to or a date.

I’ve heard about this for years so I finally took the time and took a friend visiting from out of state to the Bite show (near Halloween). We loved some of the acts but the song mashup at the beginning was so long we were wondering if the entire show was going to be just the one person singing. I think it took up half of the first half of the show. It could have easily been half as long. The second half of the show seemed to revolve around Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I suppose that would be great if either of us had watched the show in the 90’s, but neither my friend nor I had, so we didn’t get most of the second half of the show. We did love the lady twirling the tassels and the tissue act done on chains. They were both awesome. But the rest of the show was very “meh”. Would I go again? No, I don’t think so. I can see there is talent, but with large swaths that either drag on or alienate people, it’s not worth the time. I can tell there’s a diehard group that goes a lot (they were singing along with some of the latter half of the show and it was distracting) but this isn’t Rocky Horror so it didn’t add to the atmosphere. I wanted to like this, and it’s possible not all shows are like this, but we felt there wasn’t enough variety to warrant going again. I wish I had chosen a different show to take my visiting friend to.
Also, it seems the layout of the theater when buying tickets online didn’t match the actual layout and there were people in our seats, but our seats weren’t located where the map had said. In the end we took some other seats that matched the map better that were empty. Not a big deal unless you care that row number and aisles actually are where they say they are.

So much talent on one stage… I found myself totally engaged throughout the entire performance. I caught their show Bite, on Saturday and it was a great way to launch Halloween. But regardless of the month, next time I’m in San Francisco, I will definitely return to once again be entertained by the fabulous Kat Robichaud and the Darling Misfits!

This was a fun, funny, silly, sexy, swingin' (as in dancing), singin' blast of a variety show. I've been following the Misfit Cabaret for years, from underground shows, to the Great Star, and to this amazing venue at the Alcazar, and Kat and her team have pretty well perfected this art form.
Highly recommended.

I have so much love for Kat and her Darling Misfits! The shows are always so incredibly fabulous and fun! The performers are all stupendously skilled, talented, amazing, and inspiring. I can really tell the performances, costuming, makeup, music, and lighting and sound effects are created and coordinated with so much love and care. The cast and crew create such a lovely community atmosphere where everyone is welcome no matter how weird and wonderful they are. I can’t wait for the next show to see what wonders await and to sing and dance along!

I’ve been going to these shows on and off for years now and they never disappoint! Campy, funny, charming, heartfelt and just visually stunning

There’s nothing else like it, check out their music and trailers on YouTube etc if you think you’d be interested and give it a go!

Pro Tip: the aftershow serenade is a *must* don’t sleep on the option to get more music after the main show!

I’ve seen Kat’s merry band of misfits at the smaller venue, and their new theatre is so much nicer! The show is massively entertaining, with lots of talented acts to play counterpoint to Kat’s powerhouse vocals. We went at Christmas for an impromptu date night and loved it so much that we turned around and brought some friends in Feb for the Bowie show. It’s quirky and fun and different every time.

Probably the single best show in San Francisco. I've been going to Misfit Cabaret since the beginning and every show is spectacular. It's the pinnacle of variety shows. Not only is Kat an incredible writer, singer and stage presence but she finds the best performers in the bay area to be part of the show. Each person in stage is brilliant at what they do and fits the show and the part perfectly. You will hear amazing singing and music, see fantastic aerialists, dancers, killer costumers, and more. Every time I bring someone they are hooked and go regularly. Cannot recommend enough.

I have been a fan of Kat Robichaud and Misfit Cabaret for years and with each new show/song/music video, I am blown away. The level of skill, creativity, and joy that Kat and all the artists bring to every show is inspiring and I always leave the show with happy tears in my eyes, a new song stuck in my head, and a big grin on my face. They deserve all the stars and all the praise.
