Keys View reviews
16If you go to Joshua Tree National Park be sure to stop at Keys View. It's a short walk to get to the view and it's amazing! You can see down into the Cochella Valley and Palm Springs. The pictures don't do it justice.you have to see it in person.
The parking lot is known to have swarms of bees during parts of the year. And by swarms, I mean it. You will more then likely have to walk through a cloud of bees to get to and from your car. Just do so slow and calmly, and they won't bother you a bit. They have a sign warning of such as you enter the parking lot.
Other times of the year there will be not one bee to be seen.
Vista is beautiful, and gives a great scope to the valley all the way to the Salton Sea. Recommended, even with the bees.
Lovely view and definitely worth the drive to see. The bees were not a problem but they were present. Hopefully the day of visit will be a very clear day.
You can see the fault line ridge over by Palm Springs on the right. You can see the Salton Sea far left. It's okay, possibly not worth the 5 mile drive in.
Best place to see the sunset! The views was mesmerizing. The sky is filled with different shades of color. At night u get a city view too! Overall the best place to be before and after sunset! And yes you get a mobile network in this location!
Absolutely stunning view from this keys view point!
It’s the highest viewpoint inside Joshua Tree National Park and offers one of the best views of the mountains and Coachella valley behind, glad it was a clear sky day today and no haze.
Come here for sunrise. Gorgeous scenic vista. You can learn a lot from what lies beneath and afar from the on-site plaques with information.
Good spot to end your day at Joshua tree. I do recommend getting here early however as parking can fill up near sunset. I would recommend getting here at least 45 minutes before sunset.
As you can see from some of my photos people will also double park so be prepared to possibly have to wait after sunset to be able to leave
Get here an hour before sunset and bring a blanket. Go to the top and there's some flat ground where you can sit and have a picnic. This place does get crowded but it's a great view. Not for anyone who gets vertigo.
Beautiful view. Sidewalk ramps up to the view. No steps. Be sure to go on a day when the LA haze is minimal. Saw the Salton Sea. Info pictures actually match the view making it easy to understand what you're seeing
Definitely recommend a quick visit! Very neat to see Palm Springs and the San Jacinto mountain in the distance. On a clear day we saw all the way down to the Salton Sea! There is a short paved walk way up to and around the top of the viewpoint from the parking lot, making it easily accessible. But it is a steep path.
Drive up to Keys view for a panoramic view of the Coachella Valley. Stay for a few and then get back down the Mountain. Elevation- 5143 ft.
A beautiful view over the Coachella Valley. Information boards to tell you what you are looking at. Helpful staff told us about the area's history.
Joshua National Park I was on a motorcycle so I did not stop as much as I needed to but I did in a few places and took a hike and it is absolutely beautiful it's worth the couple hours at least that you'll spend driving around inside the park I spent about 250 mi driving around in circles looking at different things
Amazing view from up here. You can see the Salton Sea and Palm Springs on a clear day. Definitely worth the drive if you are already in the park.
Will be crowded at Sunset.
View was quite hazy from pollution so not that stunning. A little disappointed actually. Temps are a fair amount cooler than the rest of the park. Parking was difficult to find. This is a very popular spot and people tend to stay a long time especially around sunset.
