Killer Shrimp reviews
20Our first time here and it was a beautiful setting, very friendly and accommodating service and great food! We had the killer shrimp meal and the cran claws. Both were amazing and I would absolutely recommend
Food was pretty bland, the baja shrimp tacos would've been great if they didn't use store bought tortilla's and the killer shrimp and lobster was just spicy. Don't get me wrong I eat spicy food a little too much but this was just spicy and no flavor. The only redeeming quality about this place was the fact that they used that ice that's crushed for their drinks. You know the one where you can chew it without putting any effort. All in all, this wouldn't be my first choice in going to a seafood restaurant, if I was invited to this place sure why not.
Let me start off by saying the customer service was excellent. The food had no love in it. The killer shrimp with pasta I order was borderline bland. It was missing that special something that a cook adds to his or her food that makes it uniquely theirs. Their Soul.
Fantastic lobster and shrimp soup. The owner/manager is also very nice to us every time we visit. We have been going here for years and love the food! Definitely come here for some incredible seafood.
On yelp it says 3 star, don't get fool by that. Their food tastes amazing and the service is good as well. If you go make sure you get the Lobster mac n Cheese, that was so bomb. I had to get one to go. You know when you go to 5 star restaurant and order the Lobster mac n Cheese that barely has any Lobster and very expensive. But the killer shrimp Lobster they put tons of it and it's so delicious. Their food is good and the view is just amazing. Try to go around spring or summer because winter time its really cold if you sit outside. They have heater outside but the cold breeze doesn't help it. Great restaurant great food, totally worth the drive.
Not sure which was worse the food or the service. Bland broth frozen crab cakes rubbery shrimp. Do yourself a favor a skip this overpriced previously frozen food serving place.
Killer views. Killer food. I never get anything but the original which is shrimp in shell in a spicy broth that just gets better with every bite. We had the poke appetizer as well. Very good. Service isn’t very predictable.
I always liked this place. And I probably will go back. The food is good. Unfortunately its gotten to trendy for me though. It didn't use to be like that. Next time I will order my food to go.
Waitress did not bring the bread. Table not set up. After food waitress did not check table. We had to ask her for salt and pepper. She gave 1 bag for 3 containers. Poor service. I'm from New York.
As I've seen from a number of other reviews the food was pretty good. But the service was absolutely terrible. After we sat down we waited for at least 10 minutes before a server came to our table. It appeared that our table was the only one that she was taking care of. The restaurant was probably at most 20% capacity. Our food then arrive before our drinks did and the waitresses comment was I can't believe nobody brought your drinks to you. After our food came she never returned until we ask for her. We were told that she was smoking. All in all it was a terrible experience
Great view sitting right on the water. Easy to get to. Lots of free parking. Fisherman's stew was very good. Not a big fan of leaving all the shells on shrimp and crab when you have to dig them out of soup, but otherwise it was good and chock full of a variety of seafood.
Honestly the food was kind of “Meh” but the service and view were amazing! Our waiter was a super nice guy. I would visit again because the atmosphere is amazing there and it is honestly great for date night!
Theyre food and dri ks are really good really good boiled and cooked shrimp lobster and tuna they also have sandwiches and soup its really good just one thing the place could need some remodeling and theyre pokke bowls are awesome just dont put soysauce on it but yeah theyre good
Consistently good quality. I always come for the signature namesake dish Killer Shrimp and have never been disappointed. Very tasty. Service can sometimes be a bit slow, but the food is worth the wait
The original platter really lives up to the name! Killer. And the entire setting aims for (and really nails) a professional casual vibe- walk in and the sincerely friendly host greets you, open air balcony seating and big windows for the indoor guests. The decor delves somewhere between Rock N Roll and elegance, where the walls are lined with photos of famous artists, sunlight is the primary light source, and there's this cool event room in the building center whose entrance boasts a "Titanic-esque" victorian-styled staircase. 10/10 would recommend the food and atmosphere to a friend. ️
Great food and great price (Marina Del Ray can be an expensive area to eat so great to find somewhere that's affordable and does great food). If you have a choice definitely sit out on the balcony
As always the good is excellent. Would have decided 5 stars but our waitress lacked many basic skills. She seemed to not care about our experience there. Didn't introduce herself, no personality. Forgot items we asked for, didn't return to check on how our food was and didn't refill our drinks at all. KS needs to improve their customer service skills.
They are good view restaurant but food is normal and pricey. We order beer battle fish, seafood platter, oysters, corona beer, and bloody marry. The bill is $120. It okay for expensive restaurant, if food is delicious.
I like this place they have an awesome happy hour with their famous happy hour speciality drinks that the changes daily and they do not skimp on the Alcohol. Food is excellent. They just need to do something about strong sewer smell that hit you right away at front door. I come a lot for late night happy hour starting st 10 Pm sewer smell permeates the entire bar area often.
Great experience for me and my family are, especially for Capt. Ferdinand Parinas of PHILIPPINE Airlines Who we treated at Killer Shrimp! GREAT service!
