Kimchi Garden reviews
10Terrible place. Went there and they served me kimchi fried rice on a freshly washed dish and I felt sick after eating and the staff were super unhelpful when I told them about it. Food was kinda mid too bruh. Would not go back.
Loved almost all aspects of it. The food isn't what I expected but still was good.loved the vibe
Reasonably priced. Not even close to the best bibimbap I’ve had but they are pretty generous with the meat and vegetables and don’t have a bowl that is 3/4 rice unlike many bibimbaps. There was not the rice crust on the bottom which was disappointing but overall not bad for the price.
Tteokbokki is amazing! The consistency at Kimchi Garden is thicker and richer than at other places - it is fairly spicy and it reminds me of the tteokbokki in Korea. The kimchi fried rice is good but nothing special. Overall good spot for nostalgic Korean street food.
A unique place where you can ask for a tip in the inconvenience of having all orders at a kiosk (of course, you don't have to give it if you don't want it)
But it's a good place for a cheap price.
Kimchi Garden was a great experience. Zero contact.order at kiosk.choose dine in or take out.enjoy. We shared the Kimchi fried rice and beef Kimbap (Gimbap). Both menu items were delicious and flavorful. Great atmosphere. Very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the Kpop music the was playing in the dining area.it was the cherry on top and completed our dining experience. Kimchi Garden is one of our new MUST stops when in the Bay Area.
Avoid this restaurant. The food at this restaurant was great. The staff there however assaulted me. I would not support this restaurant. Just understand that if you don't have a phone when you order and don't have a number they will jump over the counter and attack you.
This place has mixed and inconsistent food quality at times. I would order their tofu soup, japchae, and hotdogs again. I have been here several times now. The quality of their tofu soup fluctuates, although mostly good.
But their kimchi and seafood pancake is below expectations. The pancake tastes mushy. They either undercooked it, or got the batter ingredients ratio wrong. I will give them credit that they did add more fillings that I expected into the pancake.
If this place to close to you, then it makes sense to come get their staples. I wouldn’t come here just for it nor expect top-notch Korean food.
Overpriced, and every little thing is an add-on ($2 for some pork in a kimchi stew that is way too sour). 잡채 is way too salty. Portions are too small. 뚝배기 크기 실화냐?
I say this with the caveat of not being extremely well versed in Korean food - I really enjoyed the spicy tteokbokki! Asides from the food, this is a cozy restaurant that’s good for groups of friends or family. Fun environment on a busy street - BUT don’t be dissuaded from coming alone because there’s plenty of space and comfort to do so as well.
