Outstanding cocktails and food. Not many gluten-free options but that's difficult to do when your entire menu is vegan. Nice atmosphere and great location.

A wonderfully unique and creative joint. The rich and flavorful vegan offerings are anything but the cardboard and tasteless paste meat based detractors associate with botanical based cuisine. Love the flair and inventiveness in the cocktail menu as well and there nothing quite like magical aura of death metal playing softly in the background of this eccentricly decorated joint. Can't wait to go back.

This place is SO good, definitely eat here. The decor and design of the inside is very cool, and the service and food was fantastic. I was with a non vegan and they even loved the food, we got the jackfruit sandwich and the egg roll burger and I highly suggest ordering those both.

So glad to be back in San Diego post-pandemic and come back to Kindred. The Crusties french toast were delicious. First time in for brunch. Though the real star is Dave Kinsey and his amazing cocktails. One of my favorite bartenders in any city.

5 of us were seated immediately on a Wednesday evening at 630 pm but then a line quickly formed. Cool vibe in the restaurant and outdoor seating with heat lamps. Service was a bit slow but we understood with covid and shortage of servers. Nice cocktail menu but slim food options. I loved the wizard bowl and highly recommend but nothing else on the dinner menu truly stood out. We had the popped corn and seared broccolini which were also delicious. The “fried & pickled” was underwhelming. Pickled Cauliflower lacked flavor and fried pickles were mostly batter.

They use the cheapest oil - canola oil. You would expect better from a vegan place. The food tasted good but a few hours later, I felt sick. I’m not sure why. The ambience is really good.

Seating is absolutely a mess. Standing for 45 minutes with 5 tables clearly open. Went to Fernside where they have common sense about seating

Great food! Never been here, but that was a great first visit. I had the BFS (?), I think it was called, and everything was great. The potatoes in particular. And the Kiss of Steel cold brew! My gosh, that was delicious! Will definitely come again!

That are tasty and unique. I was promptly greeted and seated with great service from the bar.

Delectable selection of plant based recipes that are surt to tantalize the taste buds of even the meatiest of carnivores. Polite provisions to relax & unwind even the most aggrivated of the 9-5 crowd. Service knowledgeable & kind, certainly hard to find during these unprecedented times. Worth the wait even if your by yourself with no date! Now that's metal. ️

The food had a noticeably microwaved quality. The seating arrangement requires the waiters to reach across you for everything. There were only 4 entrees to choose from I think. Kinda disappointing experience.

We are long time fans of this restaurant. We went for my wife's birthday brunch yesterday and we were blown away. Everyone had such a great time. Cristina was very helpful and patient with all of our friends. We had an amazing time! Thank you!

My drink was yummy, came with a bit too much ice though. My friends drink was just okay. We got the fried pickles, mashed potatoes, and puff pastry things and they were very underwhelming and not to our expectations. The food is a overpriced for what it’s priced at and not to our taste palette but the vibe was cool. I just had very high expectations that weren’t met considering all the hype. Go for drinks but I’d recommend eating at other vegan restaurants with better food

Kindred is by far the best bar in San Diego. Did I mention that they are 100% vegan, and super bad a$$. Every drink they offer on their rotating menu is amazing, and the food is delicious. This is the place to take that friend who wants to "try some vegan food" or anyone who is cool enough to drink some bomb drinks and eat good food.

Great food, all vegan. Amazing craft cocktails. Love the music. Overall good ambiance and vibe. This is a must visit for Vegans and it a restaurant that nonnvegans will love too. Fun to just go there for drinks.

Best vegan spot in town! The mocktails are delicious. The music and ambience goes well with the decor. Service is always amazing.

AMAZING food! Coming from someone who eats both meat and plants this is a really delicious place! The skewers are to die for! Super cool atmosphere with creative and delicious food to match!

Fantastic experience! An all vegan menu, with nut free and gf suggestions, if needed. Server was great, as was our meal and the ambiance. We’ve been a few times now and will continue to go back!

Great service, drinks & atmosphere, feels like an acid trip in grandma's mid century castle.
