Very disorganized. Every day seemed to be a challenge with different staff. Almost all are limited English speakers and difficult to understand. Significant errors were noted on paperwork. Discharge was a nightmare and inefficient with poor follow up. Not recommended!

GREAT TEAM at BREA!

My dad was brought to Brea location and stayed in room 503A from Dec Dec 22nd to Jan 12th where we our family pleased with all the professionalism on all the staff with personal care. Many nurses (Olivia, Alexia and so many others to name) along with PT (Pamela/Jeff who also helped with window visits), nutritionist who is very thorough (Michelle), many face time visits coordinating by Caroline. Overall, everyone has been very responsive and had not had any complaints from my dad from all the support, care and progress he was to make while he was at Brea site. A big thank you to the team there and your attention to just one person in parallel to chaos you have been encountered in current environment of COVID.

Appreciate your generous support and the hard work you contribute everyday!

My husband was at Kindred for more than four months, recovering from immense destruction he sustained from COVID. His is a very complex case, with numerous medical problems and supports to help him, and he came to Kindred only 4 days after waking from an almost 3 month coma.

They were able to successfully decanulate him from his tracheostomy, wean him from multiple medications and supports, transition him off g-tube feeding to eating normal foods, and help him regain enough strength to move on to Acute Rehab at another facility.

CEO Kevin was instrumental in assuring he received the attention his case required. All of his doctors have been amazing and very responsive and supportive. His physical therapists have been crucial to his recovery, especially Robert, Jeff, Jaime, and Veronica. Numerous nurses/LVNs/CNAs were his caretakers, and most were fantastic! We did experience a few issues with a few of them, but overall as a team the staff was attentive and helpful.

We recently moved on to acute rehab to continue his recovery journey. But we remain thankful and appreciative of all the support, help, care, and attention to detail by the many of the various staff members. It takes a team!

I would like to thank all the staff for all the great care that you've given my husband. All the nurses from ICU, LTAC, SUBACUTE, have been so wonderful. They are God's angels. The respiratory dept have an outstanding staff, they're always on time with the treatments, they always come and check and have such a positive attitude. The speech therapist (Izabel) is so encouraging and always optimistic very supportive to my family. The Rehab dept. Amir and Frances make the rehab department a place where it can be fun, entertaining but a place that really helps out the patients and they give such great care because they have a caring heart for their patients. The housekeeping dept, dietary dept and everyone that makes Kindred Brea a place for patient's to recuperate thank you from the bottom of my heart. To the Doctors, Executive Directors, CFO's, VP's and Owners. You are truly blessed to have an amazing staff. I would strongly recommend Kindred Brea. Once again, thank you for helping my husband and my family in the most difficult time of our lives.

I had the pleasure of working with Caroline and Jeanne with Kindred Hospital in Brea. Such a pleasure to have met them both during the holidays. Their entire staff really know how to put you in such good spirit! Great people all around and I can't say enough great things about them.

Facility was very clean. Carol did a nice tour for our family. All the departments were great. Case management was awesome. Really enjoyed talking with the staff about my aunts stay and they kept us updated on everything. Met the RT and Nurse Manager and they were very informative and friendly. Nice clean place.

I feel like they placed the nurses that barely passed medical school here. None of them are able to read or follow simple direction, the building is not up to code according to my father who worked with companies and installed fire sprinklers for a living, there are two beds in a room suggesting that they can and will break the HIPAA law. I had uber deliver my father his food there and none of the nurses were willing to tell him it arrived, when he contacted them to ask about it, they told him they have no idea what happened to it, until he mentioned he was going to get law enforcements involved. They forced him to sign a paper that "he cannot sue them" while hopped up on some medications. It's absolutely the worst place. Do not bring ANY human being here. Chances are my father will call up the marshall and tell them the codes they are violating within that building once he comes home.

If I could give no stars I would we took my aunt to get some test done and every time had to check in the person was rude and rolling their eyes at us and they even snatched papers out of our had and not to mention the talked to us like we were stupid so safe to say I will not be back to brea hospitial!

What a fantastic facility of caring, kind and professional people. My father had an amazing recovery after being in ICU for 6 months on a ventilator and feeding tube with little movement prior to going to Kindred. After 90 days he was weaned form the ventilator, walking and off his feeding tube - and is home! The RN's, PT's, RT's, CNA's and Caseworkers were all amazing. They were attentive to my father and my mother throughout his stay.

The staff at kindred Brea treated my father in law with great care and dignity. The hospital is clean, the food seems ok, and the administrators are helpful. The pain management and PT were the highlights though, they were our main concerns but we have no complaints!

My cousin was here after a car accident. Not only were we able to take him home, but he was treated very humanely. The nurses were dedicated and the PT team took him from the bed to being able to walk assisted. We are all grateful for the care our family member received, I know he's very grateful with everyone at Kindred Brea too!

Administration staff is very unprofessional, and tells their own staff to cut down on treatments for patients. Even their "nurse practitioner" had the nerve to tell the patient that they won't prescribe anymore treatments due to their disputes with your insurance.

Watch out for Dr. Khabaz. He's an Executive VP who will make medical decisions for the benefit of Kindred over your patient!

The rehab team here is amazing! I liked the communication with the nurses and respiratory technicians. Always very polite and professional. My mother came here from St. Jude, and the care was just as good and professional. I was able to take mom home thanks to all the efforts of the team at kindred Brea.

The rehab team and nurses here are great. Everyone is friendly, even the CEO visits patients and takes time to make sure you are ok. I can say they helped my sister tremendously. Nurses are very experinced and kind. Shoney, Scott, Robert, Pam, Miranda, Clement, kisha, mirela, Nancy and many others thank you from the bottom of my heart for your compassion in our time of need.

Thank you Kindred Hospital for providing good care to our mother. Everyone was so helpful and the communication between nurses and us was always good. There were so many nurses we would like to thank since they always went out of their way to help her. We will always be grateful for the type of care she received at Brea.

One of my family members recently stayed at Kindred Brea for a few months. The nurses were very professional and caring (special thanks to Amanda, Vickie, Hector) and the RT team was good too. The physicians were good, the hospital is small so you get to know everyone. Kellie the social worker was very nice too. Visit hours are flexible and the admin team is available, the CEO is always rounding and was very nice and reasonable. This place made a difference for our loved one, I definitely recommend Kindred Brea.

Great place compared to the kindred in Santa Ana and Westminister. They treated my loved one with care and everyone for the most part did they're job well and care about the patients. Like anyone nobody is perfect and I would recommend cots for patient family members (husband, wife) when they spend the night.
