Poor customer service called a week ago told me they were too busy call back next Wednesday to check back the fella said. I called back a week later as per their request they told me to call back on Friday because it wasn’t a good time. Good for them they are so busy they don’t need another VW customer. I will never call this place again for my VW needs. Tell me you don’t have any more time for another customer instead of telling me to call back.

I have called south bay volkswagen 2 times on a recall issue. Was told 2 times someone would get back to me. Have not received a call back at all.

I live in OC, I drove all the way down here, did a 1600 DP long block exchange. Installed in my bus, Works GREAT. Highly recommended. Smart VW people. Great prices. There is nothing left in OC for air cooled VWs.

I have a 64 bug, and I live in the central coast. In my neck of the woods shops like this do not exist for a hobbiest like me. So on a family trip to San Diego I went looking for a shop to sell aftermarket parts for my build, low and behold I ran into this place! This place is legit, Roger one of the owners was there to greet me and answer all my questions. This guy's is one hell of a guy! I'll definitely be back to shop and continue on my build. Completely rude owner. He had no problem insulting you or talking bad about you to his employees while you were in the same room. He was also very upset and continued his insults when all I wanted was an engine, and didn't want to pay for them to install it. I don't know what kind if customers this business attracts.

I hired Klein to install One of their newly rebuilt engines from their floor. They installed it. Two weeks later The number three cylinder blew up. They repaired it and the mechanic told me “the next one’s on you. “ I have since discovered that the engine that they rebuilt has two different types of heads. And now the number two cylinder has a bad valve guide and a bad valve. I also discovered that they left off the shims on the number four cylinder. So now I’m at a point where I must replace the entire engine.
No paperwork. When asked for paperwork they said “we don’t do that. “

Have had 2 Kline Engines installed in the past 10 plus years. All went perfect! Any issues I had were taken care of quickly and efficiently. They make their work right! This is an All American brotherly run business for over 30 years. My friend ordered an engine from Massachusetts and loves it! A Nation Wide reputation TRUMPS any minor league complaints I might have. If there is an argument, I must say, the customer must have started it, because they want you to be happy!
