K&M Music is the best training center we have experienced in Canada and USA, the instructors teach the theory of music, and based on that the student practices classic compositions, students cannot and are not allowed to memorize the music but rather learn the theory of music, I would recommend this center to everyone who wants to learn music fundamentally.

Is it possible to give more stars? ! I would if I could! For any family looking for talented and dedicated teachers, they will find in Michael and Katherine Dvoskin more than just teachers. They are highly skilled on their instruments (violin and piano respectively) ; they have many years of study and teaching experience between them, and they offer a cultural experience of tradition, discipline, making the musical experience with them enriching and fun. As a professional flutist, I have collaborated with Katherine on many recitals and look forward to more! Her best and most significant work with me was her coaching and performances with my best flute students. She has supported many first place winners in local competitions such as the MTAC Concerto and Goodlin Competitions, the La Jolla Symphony & Chorus Young Artist Competition and San Diego Musical Merit. 5+

My children has been taking lessons for the violin and piano with Michael and Tatiana for over a year, and I’ve been very happy that I chose this place. All teachers here are amazing musicians. They make lessons enjoyable, and also my children are improving with their skills each time after the lessons. I appreciate that they let my children perform together at concerts. It’s been a joy seeing them grow together with music. Highly recommend this music studio for anyone who wants to learn music in San Diego.

Katherine is an amazing pianist and a knowledgeable educator. With her patience and instructions, I started to learn different ways to touch the keys, transfer body weight, and really pay attention to the dynamics and voicing so the music sounds more interesting. There is still so much to learn. She has always been able to identify the problems, break down the steps, and explain the ways to improve the sound.
Three months ago, I decided to try out violin classes with Michael. As a total beginner, I am amazed by the details required to hold the bow and violin right. It's always interesting to hear all the analogies he makes during the lessons to make the techniques easier to understand. My neighbors haven't complained about my chicken killing sound so I renewed the violin rental for another 3 months! I guess he is stuck with me for a little longer. I am very fortunate to have both Katherine and Michael as my music teachers.

My children 11 & 13 have been taking piano lessons with Katherine Dvoskin for
the past 2 years. We have found her to be an exceptional teacher. She blends rigorous technique with a gentle approach to teaching. She organises regular recitals and has been incredibly flexible post covid at adapting to in person and online lessons. Highly recommend!

Daughter have been learning the violin with Mr. Michael. She eagerly practices everyday and looks forward to her lessons. Violin lessons brings great joy to her because Mr. Michael makes it fun and she loves the sense of accomplishment after hard work. Practicing the violin is a joy with Mr. Michael because the studies provide discipline and melodious. Mr. Michael set goals that she eagerly strives to achieve and truly nurture her joy for music. Mr. Michael is an amazing violin teacher.

Highly recommend K&M for violin and piano lessons. Michael and Katherine are excellent instructors, professional, amazing musicians, and great with our kids. We take lessons from both and have for a couple years now.
