Kombu Sushi reviews
19Coolest bathroom. Got clocked during Pride month by y’all’s lovely Trans waitress who took very sweet care of us and gave us a lil anecdote of the area and them. We had an ESA who they let just chill the whole time and didn’t give us any trouble <3 love y’all
It was a great experience all around. Service was helpful, friendly, and attentive. The food was interesting and delicious.the sashimi and nigiri were very high quality. My recommendation is definitely ask for the Fresh Wasabi they offer with your sushi. It takes your experience to another level.
First time going and it was awesome, had the luck to meet one of the owners Suzy Wan, had a great customer service and a big smile all the time! For sure coming back!
Disgusting place. The kitchen is filthy and the workers are just as filthy. They never properly clean their dishes or utensils.
They have amazing parties every 2 weeks. Food is so good, service fast, not too expensive. Great menu, I went with my dog and he ate for free.
The food and staff here are amazing. Kombu Sushi is an excellent place to eat on Sunset Ave in Silver Lake. They also have a club and hold block parties to dance and have fun.
More of a bar that happens to serve rolls. Very noisy in the evening. My first experience was on a lunch, but went back today for a late bite. The Waitress was clueless about the menu, when asked if the tuna was albacore for the seared tuna, she said « it’s tuna ». Never checked on me, nor offered some water. I ordered for the Japanese mackerel and was served a Spanish mackerel. When I mentioned it was not what I asked, and that I obviously left the half of that order, she just shrugged… It is a no no. Also it says they offer parking which is NOT true. The entrance of their parking is closed and it’s not notified anywhere an alternative… 63 usd with tip for 4 pairs of nigiris and a large water + a hot tea if this isn’t a rip-off then I don’t know. Would absolutely give that to any good / real Japanese legit restaurant for quality, but not here. It was my Last time there.
$11 for a tiny hand roll is madness, way overpriced, not only that the nori was so chewy I couldn’t bite through it. Very disappointed!
Absolutely fantastic sushi and very fair prices. The staff was incredible as well. All around a great experience.
Excellent sushi, did a full nigiri order trying out most of their fish options. Nice and quiet patio in the back.
Bomb. Tasty. Fresh. Prefect. And they don't over do it with the sticky rice on the rolls! My go-to sushi spot! Salmon skin rolls are my favorite and they do a delicious job at it! Thank you for your consistency and dedication to serving bomb food!
The food is excellent! Came to LA for a couple of days and found Komba Sushi just walking around.
Super fresh sushi in a clean quant environment. The chief was very creative and attentive to our requests. Prices were reasonable without being overpriced.
I can’t wait to stop in and try it again!
This place never cease to disappoint. And sure to satisfy our taste buds with the best tasting sushi in town!
Their ambiance is cozy and indoor seating is quite clean properly laid out but for now not open for dining out, only takeout orders!
The best in L. A.that I could recommend!
Absolutely delicious spot for Japanese food lovers like me! Love the vibe and cozy atmosphere!
I would love to be super smug and sexy with this review but, in all honesty, this place made me feel like a school girl again! Our waiter, Garrison, deserves a raise! He makes you feel that good. And the food ain't bad either. We dug on the salmon citrus truffle, blue crab hand roll, and the Cajun Roll! Fresh & delicious. Period.
Ian was so friendly, there was a mix up on a postmate order and he was super professional! Took care of our order and sorted out the confusion and the food is plentiful and delicious! Thank you Ian and Kitchen crew. Will be ordering from them again!
We just ordered $40 worth of food. They are missing part of my order. Second it's so little. Don't order online. Not worth it.
Amazing fresh sushi, unique rolls, Cajun, Citron, and Serpent are my favorites. Also love the grilled yellowtail collar and hamachi mango salad.
I understand that times are strange right now.i really don't mind waiting longer, or if items are out of stock etc.but the food i ordered tonight is just horrible quality.you ever buy packaged gas station sushi that sits in a refridgerator for a week? THAT is better quality than the rolls and soup in front of me.so, so bummed about this.
