Kopan Sushi & Ramen, Glendale CA

Food is good, service sucks, atmosphere is ok. Once they serve your food, no one goes in the back and check on you to see if you need anything else (i.e re-fill drinks, get another order).

Really solid ramen spot in Glendale. They also serve sushi!

The kuro mayu ramen comes with charshu, bamboo, woodear mushroom, corn, bean sprouts and black garlic oil. The ramen is pretty big and really satisfying. Really solid bowl of ramen!

Excellent atmosphere, service was really nice, and the broth of the service out of this world!

Food was great and it didn't take long for the food to be served.

Update: The place has definitely gotten better in the years and atmosphere is so nice and casual. There are more food options and it's all delicious. I recommend small groups as the place has tables best suited for groups of 4.

Very fun little Japanese place. Amazing aesthetics and a great selection of food. The bento boxes were particularly great value. Would definitely go back.

Been here a couple times with my family and each time it’s gotten better. Besides the good food, the staff is so attentive and polite! Appreciate how detailed the staff was with our table.

Great service.many refills of iced green tea without having to ask. Spicy tuna roll, 8 pcs, kinda small, and yet overstuffed.a delicious bite and very spicy. My friend order extra noodles extra ginger extra pork for his ramen. He enjoyed it all. Great find.

Surprisingly intimate atmosphere despite being a busy restaurant. Booth seating with sound barriers really changes the place and makes conversation at the table easy. Food was decent.

Beware! The VEGAN ramen noodles contain egg! Good thing I said something, or this rating would be coming from the hospital. Normally I would not give a rating for something I didn't try but selling non-vegan as vegan really deserves 0 stars. Just a reminder for others who suffer from allergies, always check with the kitchen.

4.5 Real Score - This Kopan is a bit more unique for a few reasons. Other locations are a bit more modern, for example the one in Alhambra has a really fantastic Japanese mural on the wall, the one in Pasadena has a nice but pretty standard interior for any modern restaurant, the one I saw in the Philippines was part of that larger building and had pretty much all glass windows all around. This location has to be the coolest interior because there are several small booths with little Japanese curtain flaps (not sure what they're called), which makes the booth both private and authentically Japanese. I really love the ambiance here! This restaurant also offers way more sushi options than other locations. The reason for the halfway reduction was really because of the ramen, which I thought was just very good, but not great. However, the Bora Bora was excellent! The fish was super fresh and the flavors had a great balance a sweet and salty. The octopus was super crispy, my preference, but the portion to me was very small. Definitely coming here again!

Sushi is GREAT but the ramen is pretty bad, so I'd recommend avoiding that. We got multiple rolls and they were all good, though.

The Bento box was excellent here! The ramen was a little noodles heavy but the broth was delicious. The service was okay and we had like 4 different people wait on us. Overall, a positive experience!

It's great place for have sushi. All the ingredieats are fresh. The service is very good and the prices are reasonable. Stuff very friendly and polite. I highly recommended this place
