The atmosphere really reminds of revolving sushi bars in Japan, that's the high point in my opinion at Kura. Service was pretty good too, but I didn't give 5 stars in service, since waiting for 1 or 2 hours before you can get in the restaurant doesn't help at all. Besides the ridiculous waiting time, the big disappointment was the food. It's good sushi and it has a nice variety, but it's just not great. Well, I guess that reminds Japan again, where revolving restaurants are notorious for low cost sushi, not for best food.

One of the best sushi experiences I have had since my visit to Japan.
Amazing food, people, and atmosphere. Cannot express how great this place is, you just have to go there.

They have added more vegetarian options, which is nice. Always decent.
Update: Still wish there were more vegetarian roll options, but otherwise still good quality and my kid loves to choose off the conveyer.

The machines weren't working (the ones that give you the toys) so not much randomization on the toys we got.

The sushi quality was pretty decent. It's always great to try something here that I don't normally get at a sushi restaurant:) great salmon selection (my favorite)
Love the uni here. Always fun to do the "mini game" for defeating enemies with plates, haha

I don't like how they have an app but you have 0 service in the restaurant. It's hard to pull up deals or points when they give you the bill.

Tonkatsu noodle good. Warabimochi could be chewier. The bowl for Taiyaki ice cream could be bigger for easier to get the ice cream below.

Most of the rolls are good. 5-6 plates per person usually good enough for us. I tried eal, cream cheese today, it's really good.

Not sure about the food as you simply cannot get a table unless you wait for 60+ mins on average. They don’t allow you to reserve a table using app or by phone. You just need to be there to ask for it. Not friendly at all!

This place was a lot of fun. My family enjoyed our time here that we visited twice in the 10 days that we were in the area. Although the sushi was better one time than the other, we would visit again. We had our drinks delivered by a robot which the kids enjoyed and having food delivered on the conveyer belt was so fun. We also get a little prize ball for 15 plates and if it doesn't come out automatically just ask and they will be happy to help.

Overall, great time, would visit again. It does get busy, so keep that in mind, wait time can be 60+ minutes during dinner rush.

It was very hot inside the restaurant and lots of people were waiting outside to be seated. Very popular place because of the amazing sushi and its on a conveyer belt that comes out on little dishes for you to take. On my birthday they gave me a free desert of my choice. You can't place a reservation and typical wait times is 2-3 hrs. The place is very small and doesn't have enough seats.

What a hassle! I placed an online order using their website. Two hours later, I received a message that the order was dropped off, even though I had not received it. I called them to ask for a refund or redelivery. The costumer service was a super rude lady who did not take any responsibility for the missing order. Took my time, money, and no food! First and last time ordering food from this restaurant.

Quite busy on weekends with 1-2 hr wait via irl (fri-sun) waitlist. I like their gachapon collabs-available after 15 qualifying dishes. My favorite food here is the sake nigiri (salmon), though I believe there could be room for improvement in quality for the price. Not AYCE so always have to be conscious of how much to eat haha Worth a try at least once for the experience.

*** Scientifically Stingy ***

After waiting for over 1 hour to get in, they gave us a booth with a dish towel lying on the floor which had been used to partially mop up a spill, with the remaining water? Still lying around other parts of the floor.

As for the conveyor belt, the selection was mostly empty containers with a few feeble attempts at stingy Japanese sushi floating by periodically.

Basically their idea of sushi is, for the most part using wafer-thin slices of fish on top of warm, un-clingy rice which disintegrates when you try to eat it.

They then brush it with various types of cooking oil (ex: sesame on top of the salmon) and give it fancy labels.

As for the roe, it was almost as if someone was actually counting the number of eggs they put on each base.

In our case it was about 10-12 eggs, which varied drastically from the photo on the menu, which looked more like a spoonful or two - the norm for other sushi places I’ve been to.

Unlike most sushi restaurants, you actually have to ASK for the wasabi and they bring it to you only IF you order a dish, while the soy sauce is locked in a container that releases the sauce drops at a time.

As the grand finale, they attempted to charge us for an additional plate - a perfect threshold for many who may not be bothered to ask about it.

When we asked them to remove this from the bill, they proceeded to accuse us of improperly returning the plate into their plate collection system…. One plate.

The service was amazing and the food was great the only down side that I saw was that most if not all the sushi was raw and although that to many people is normal that's not so. Many sushi plates such as the fried rice with Avocado and imitation crab was cooked and great so I recommend this place for the true sushi lovers and for those that are getting into sushi but can not find what they like I recommend the Ramen the best I've had in a while but please please remember each plate is $3.50 so they add on real quick

I checked in online around 6pm on a Saturday. When I got there the waiter told me I have 20 minutes wait. I waited until 8 and I’m still waiting …

I do like the aspect of being able to try many different dishes. They're fresh wasabi killed my nose and it was so worth it and good!
This aspect works out for those who are dining out with others who are a little pickier with their seafood

Love the concept and the sushi is pretty good for conveyor belt sushi. You can get in and out quickly, and the potential to win a little fun prize every so often adds a fun element to it. Wish they had tables for larger parties. My gripe is with the app waitlist. Adding yourself to the app waitlist is pointless and it seems like how it’s prioritized is arbitrary. Depending on the day you either get right in or you get a text to check in physically only to be added to the bottom of the waitlist once you do. So don’t trust the app and wait to arrive because you will get burned and have to wait a while.

We visited this place last time on May 21st 2023 for dinner (aroun 7 p.m.) I will skip the long waiting time and etc.as it is not restaurant fault that it is popular. I want to bring to attention another thing which happened to me on that day. Sake! I ordered hot sake and noticed right away that it's taste was not rich enough. I thought, ok, maybe they changed the sake or something like that and did not say anything. I finished whole portion on my own. On the way home I realized that I was not even drunk. At all! I bet my sake was blended with water. I love sake and go to Kura quite often. I know it's taste. I regret that I did not mention that on the spot. Just couldn't believe that it can happen. So, IT POSSIBLE at this place. Would give 1 star, but give 2 just because they FINALLY replaced the plates.
