I have a 2 year old Kandao QooCam 8k 360 camera that needed repair. Kurt's Camera was recommended by the manufacturer. I mailed it to them. They did the repair quickly, and for a fair price. The camera now works great.

I had the best experience at this location, I had part of an sd card stuck in my camera which made it unusable and within a few minutes it was taken care of and the owner is very kind and knowledgeable. I definitely will be coming back to this location!

I was receiving an "Err 01" message on my Canon EOS R using my canon 24-70mm lens. A quote to fix it from Canon was $395. Kurtz Camera Repair saved me $120.and I received it within 2 weeks. Thanks.

I sent my second hand Nikon D3 in for focus issues and my 50 mm lens with it so they could see if it was just user error. Of course I dropped the lens from 3 feet the day I shipped it out 6 months after it had been serviced by Nikon ‍️ They checked it out and it was fine, but my camera had a major malfunction while it was there that it had not had previously. Fortunately, a previous customer had declined to have their camera repaired and they had the parts to repair for a very reasonable price. So not only do I have a sparkling clean camera with quicker, sharper focus than its ever had, they also took care of an issue that I didn’t even know I had! And last but certainly not least, I thought it was going to cost at least as much as the camera did. Nope! Just over half and I am an extremely happy camper! Thank you so much guys!

As Professional as it gets. Experts at working with Film cameras and I have also seen many digital ones come in too. Perhaps the best and cheapest place to get your cameras serviced in San Diego. I learn more about my craft from Mike each time I come in. These guys have been in the business forever and are experienced technicians that have manufacturer knowledge. Truly passionate individuals.

Kurt's camera repair did a fantastic job repairing my Sigma wide angle. They were super helpful over the phone getting a fast and accurate quote. The price is very reasonable and certainly worth it. After I sent my lens off it was shipped back to NW Washington within a shorter time frame than originally quoted. It was very well packaged on return too. Everything functioned great and I'll be sending more things off to them as they come up! Not only did they do an amazing job fixing my front element, they gave the whole lens a very thorough clean and adjusted the focus, honestly seemed like I was getting a new lens back. Would highly recommend!

Drove 40 minutes (each way) to Kurt's Camera repair on the recommendation of a friend. Turned out to be an excellent decision. Staff recognized the problem with my focusing screen and repaired it on the spot. Also made a few recommendations for future consideration. Polite, knowledgeable staff. Perhaps there's hope for this world after all.

Was very happy that i sent my lens to repaired here. They were responsive, quick, and very friendly. Felt the service was stellar. Would definitely recommend for your camera needs and will most certainly reach out to them again in the future.

Took one month to fix my camera and they didn’t even called me I had to call to see if it was ready

TOTAL PROS! We dropped off my wife's Nikon D610 DSLR here a few days ago. Unfortunately my wife's trunk bag became dislodged from her bike rack early last week as we were riding down a steep hill near home. Even though her camera was securely wrapped inside a towel inside the padded trunk bag we realized after checking the camera later that there was something wrong inside. We initially took the camera to George's Camera in North Park and they referred us to these guys.an authorized Nikon repair center. The owner Mike looked after us when we entered the store and had one of his camera tech guys check out the Nikon D610. There was some damage to the auto sensor which can be replaced. It should take a few days Mike said and they will also thoroughly clean inside the camera plus recalibrate everything. After getting a phone call on Monday the work was completed we headed back here on Tuesday afternoon to pick it up. A friendly tech guy named Phil retrieved the camera and gave us some diagnostic print outs of the health of the Nikon D610. The bill was around $350. Haven't tried out the camera post the repair work so stay tuned!

I had three things I thought I needed to repair. Two Canon lenses and a Canon Mark III camera body. I took them to a camera store in Riverside. They quoted me exorbitant prices that I thought were just too much. So I took them to Kurt's. They told me that the one lens did not even need fixing (correct, i was using it incorrectly). And the other lens and the camera body they fixed for hundreds of dollars less than the store in Riverside. So overall I saved probably $600 just by going to Kurt's. And everything works! For me in Riverside County it was worth the drive to San Diego. And the people are sweet!

I've known Kurt and many of his techs since 1976, when I was selling photographic equipment downstairs at Camera World. Kurt was a European opto-mechanical genius and held very high standards, while offering prices we photographers could manage. Mike has followed in this tradition and, today, is one of the premiere repair and maintenance centers in the United States. I've been a photographer, man and boy, since 1940 and have never had a piece of equipment fail that Kurt's massaged.
My Rollei 3.5F and 'Cord VB look and run like new, since K's CLAs. Same with all of the other gear I take into the field, from DSLR to 4x5 views. We are so lucky to have an outfit like this here for us!

Dropped my Sony A7sii and got it repaired here. Not only was the price 600$ cheaper than any other camera store in the county these people are incredibly friendly and I felt very comfortable visiting the store. I highly recommend you to get any repairs fixed here you won’t regret it. Can’t put a price on kindness. Thanks a ton you guys rock.

I came in wondering if my film camera i bought off of facebook marketplace was fixable. Since the day i got it it's been difficult to work with and i was constantly afraid it would fall apart.

The man working did a free checkup and overview for me and kindly let me know it would be cheaper to get a new one than to fix it. He even surfed ebay for the exact camera i had in a great condition and amazing price. I didn't even ask!

This is a camera repair shop. You bring your camera to them, tell them what you want checked or done, they give you an estimate and timeframe and you decide to accept or not. Simple. No sales BS, in fact there is no retail there at all. Completely no nonsense.

Excellent customer service and have always been able to fix/adjust my sigma Telephoto lens in the shortest time!:)
