Restaurant Kyoto Gyukatsu reviews
20Do not go. Taste is not recommended. The picture menu look good only. Our ramen noodle is not cook well and no taste at all.
We had the curry udon and fried tofu salad. Both were very good. The fried tofu salad was surprisingly tasty! The dressing was a bit sweet, yet tangy, it felt refreshing and not heavy. I wish the salad had a bit more tofu, but other then that, pretty good. The curry udon was delicious. The udon noodle was cooked perfectly. The curry sauce was on the mild side in terms of spice, but had the right bit of salty. Overall, the food and service was great! (We were there on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch)
Food was outstanding as always. Service is a bit slow since the place was so busy. It was worth the wait, however.
Went on a Sunday & it was busy.we waited about 40 mins to be seated.after being seated we had to wait another 10 mins to order.they're probably short staff.food came out pretty fast & it was good.asked for the bill.we got charge for service fee.we are a party of 6.but did they really have to count my 2 kids as well? That didn't make sense to me.they didn't even order their own meal.my kids ages are 2-3.
Try new place. I ordered the Kyoto Ramen and inside have raw sprout, raw bok choy (vegetable) and raw white mushrooms and the broth just warm. Make the raw veggies taste bad. The broth was totally plain. I never ate ramen with plain broth before. The server help me to change it and more better but still not good. The egg was the only one taste good. Pork cutlet and the beef cube just so so.
Good service and Good food.tonight I take my family back this restaurant to celebrate President day.long weekend Lol.
.
The food they serve is varied with a Japanese style: they have everything from katsu, ramen, soba, udon to steak. However, there is a small number of waiters for the size and number of tables. We recommend the pork and chicken cutlet dishes: they are large, perhaps to share between two people.
The pork katsu is good here, and came with 2 cutlets, cabbage salad, rice, miso soup, plus a couple sides for about $20. I came with some friends, and it was nice and not too crowded. I appreciate they had open air coming into the restaurant.
The meal is extremely high in fat and heavy, feels like you’re about to have a heart attack afterwards. Would not recommend.
I got the chicken katsu and it was really good. The chicken was marinated so it had flavor and wasn’t dry, the portion was also good for the price.
The food itself tastes really good. However, it's easily to see there are not enough servers to support the customers. Need to be patient about the order. The beef gyukatsu is really cool, recommend people try it.
The beef tongue was excellent, and we loved the presentation. The cream udon had curry mixed in under the top layer. We also ordered cheese katsu, which you need to eat fast because the cheese gets cold quickly. It took a little bit for someone to notice that we entered, but after things got ordered it went smoothly.
The ramen’s soup is nothing but water with some spices, tastes just like salty water, and only 2-3 very small pieces of pork. Definitely not worth the money….
Had a great dinner with my daughter here after her work. I love those floor to ceiling doors to open up the whole wall outside. Great environment and seating anywhere is great here. Staff is so good. Food was very good. I will come back to try something new. Can't wait.
I really like the Gyu-Kaku. The meat was well marinated. Though the price is a little bit high, the meat they gave is also more than I expected.
Very tasty, they know how to make your food come to your table looking better than it tastes! (please dont that that as an insult)
Good food and good service. The steak is very fresh. Would like to try other dishes another time!
Not really authentic and not worth the price. That being said the meal is very heavy. Plain cabbage side was $2. Social distancing was great, the host greeted us from ~12 feet away, could barely hear her. The place had an impressive amount of tables and chairs, felt so crowded even with almost nobody there. Restaurant was clean though so two stars. Probably would not come again unless someone forced me. Have a great day!
Delicious pork katsu, adequately crunchy and not greasy. There was a big cutlet and a smaller one underneath, so the portion was very generous.
Really want to love this places but the food we ordered just taste okay.
Don't get me wrong, I love the service and staff are very friendly. I ordered their beef gyukatsu and also had udon to go because we wanted to give them another chance. However, the udon doesn't taste good at all, it's just too creamy all the way, and I had creamy udon before, but this one is a pass for me.
Parking is shared in the parking Plaza, which they have plenty of space.
