La Bamba Mexican Grill Big Bear reviews
16Rancid beans at a Mexican restaurant are where I draw the line. Flavorless tortilla soup, Bland enchiladas, and the coctell de camarones tasted like salt water. No tomatoe or shrimp flavor. The waitress spent her time playing on her phone and gossiping with her friends vs.making rounds, checking on the 2 tables she had. In the whole 8 table restaurant. The other table complained about receiving the wrong order before they stormed off. SMH, that should have given me a hint.
Insanely good food, fair prices, quick service, & a quirky laid back environment. Perfect place to have a marg or a beer & some epic Mexican food. Screw taco bell, support local & eat something noteworthy!
Food is mediocre and over priced. Tacos de camaron some kind of shredded unrelated cheese and no sauce. Rice and beans unflavored.
Hidden gem! Definitely worth experiencing genuine Mexican culture and food! You won't be disappointed!
Ordered a mole burrito, it was really good.
Asada Plate, was well cooked
Tortilla soup had really good flavor, lots of chicken.
Little fondita, took me back to my Mexico.
Fresh and filling. We had enchiladas and tacos for lunch. So glad we found this little gem. They even made a special sauce for us.
The Huevos Rancheros were excellent. The salsa made them taste so delicious. Lila and the other ladies were so nice.
OUTSTANDING! 10's all the way across the board. Cleanliness, location, food (portions and quality, not to mention taste), superb service and great prices. Definitely Big Bear's hidden gem. Slightly hidden just off the main drag and behind the Bowling alley on the corner of Bonanza Trail and Beaver Lane.
Small Mexican joint in Big Bear good food if you got the munchies or a big appetite low-key spot, atmosphere is also quiet at night
What a great hole in the wall find! The chicken mole was amazing! Everything had the flavor that you were in an Abuela's kitchen and she shows her love through cooking. The service was great, too.
Under new management! Food could've been much warmer. Rice and refried beans were luke warm and I'm not a fast eater.
This is my favorite little Mexican restaurant in Big Bear. There are other places to go to that are a lot bigger but this little hole-in-the-wall is awesome and they make great food. Definitely worth going to and you will spend a lot less than some of the big ones.
The food is ok (eh) the service started off good then apparently the ticked got deleted but they couldn't just come apologize for it and keep it pushing they sent another kid to bring wrong items until he had to retake our order. After having to wait for 20 minutes and the another 30 minutes for food. But they do tell you the wait time will be long. So there was that. But the carnitas was good. The Bamba burger is good. Everything else is eh. And is a family based restaurant.
Served me and my family raw food and tried to complain about it my girlfriend ordered a burrito chicken was pink and when we asked can u change it they said they gonna charge her for two if they change the meat worst customer service ever should have went to dennys
Food quality and taste does not live up to its prices. The service was pretty bad as well. Won't be coming back here.
Some of the best old school Mexican food I have tried anywhere. The place is not fancy but if you want great food, you will not be disappointed,
