La Casita Mexican Restaurant reviews
12I went to try their carne asada fries. Called for a pickup order and they were super quick with it when I arrived. However, restaurant is pretty dark, they weren’t organized when it came to charging me (they just kept letting a bunch of people go in front of me in line?). They gave practically no fries or flavoring and it’s SUPER greasy, doesn’t come with sour cream or anything else on top (just meat cheese and fries?) just not somewhere I would go again. Staff was nice though. I feel like I’m drinking oil. Fairly disappointed
Best mango margaritas in the high desert. Delicious food and the wait staff are so friendly. Great family restaurant.
Just ok. Salsa wasn't great and it went down from there. The service was decent but food really was mediocre at best. Not terrible but I have had better. Even from this restaurant.
Um…the staff is super nice. The water was cold, and it didn’t have a weird flavor. Everything else was pretty standard. Canned refried beans, generic Spanish rice, super stringy and bland steak fajitas. But I’m pretty sure I didn’t get food poisoning. Nevertheless, this is California. Mexican food isn’t their specialty, ironically enough.
Ok food. No complaints on the service or the attentiveness. The tortas are pretty good. The flautas have a nice presentation and the albondigas soup was very decent. The carne asada on the tortas and tacos lacks flavor though. It needs to be marinated or prepared. It has zero flavor. I couldn’t even taste salt in it. Next time I will try something else. The place was full so maybe other options are better.
Went for dinner for my moms birthday. I do enjoy the food here but the service was verry unorganized. Was not greeted was unsure where to wait, seated and waited 10 min before they brought any chips or salsa then waited another 5 min for menu's. Food was servered with no forks to eat it, no straws and 15min waits for refills. I think this place might work better with smaller crowds but there was only 8 of us still was no excuse for the unorganization. Will not return to this location.
Food was horrible if you enjoy store bought tortillas a chicken tortilla soup that tastes like cambells tomato soup with corn in it because there definitely wasn't chicken in there. Chicken mole that had burnt chicken was all around a horrible experience where the prices are to high for the poor quality of food. I feel like Mexican food in Alabama has better quality than what I just received. Will not be returning be advised la Casita In Hesperia is way better different owner who knows what they are doing
Whenever we're in the Hesperia/Apple Valley area, La Casita is our go-to place every time. Great service and great food at very reasonable prices!
The waiters were NOT very attentive. I flew in from NC and wanted to treat my uncle to a nice place. The food was good, reasonably priced. But the waiters were snobby and slow. It wasn't even busy for them. Step it up and stop giving us Latinos a bad name! We're supposed to be known for being hospitable and family oriented.
Food is always good, but the service is always sooooo slow. Went Saturday before mothers day wasn't too busy but it took forever just to place our order or get refills, napkins anything. The wait or was friendly just kinda scatter brained.
If you really want mexican food this is not your place, this mexican food is more like american mexican food, service was not so good.
5/17/2022 Senior menu prices have gone up a couple dollars, but so has the rest of the menu.
3/25/17 Great senior menu! 55+ @ $6.75
Just the right amount of food: main dish, beans, rice, and choice of soup or salad + coffee or ice tea/soda. Love the tortilla soup. My taquitos were crispy and came with sour cream, guacamole, and some Pico de Gallo.
