La Cava

La Cava is an incredible neighborhood Italian spot. From the owner to the servers, everyone is wonderful. The prices are too high!

The food was authentic Italian. Great service. The dessert "torta de la Nona" to die for

Had a party of 8, and our table was ready when we arrived. Everyone was wonderful from the time we arrived till we left. The food was outstanding, served hot, and the portions were perfect sizes. Deserts were very good! I I I would recommend la cava for dinner.

Read the reviews… thoroughly. Wish I did but I let my daughter pick a place to eat without reading the comments from previous diners. We were hungry and unsuspecting of the disgusting events that lied ahead. My son ate McDonald’s after we left since he purposely wasn’t served any food. Follow your instincts.

Absolutely impecable! The food is authentic and delicious. The staff just goes above and beyond. My husband ordered the risotto special, it was delicious. Definitely recommend, the place is small but worth stopping by.

Long Story Short: We showed up, we didn't like the food on the menu, and left. And because of that they claimed me a no show and charged me $100.

We made a Reversation through open table for Valentine's Day and when we got there, we discovered that there was a prefixed menu. First, while making the Reversation nowhere did it say there will be a prefixed menu, I made the Reversation with the intention of eating off their regular menu. Second, the options on the prefixed menu were nothing to our liking. At that point we decided to get up and leave. The next day i discovered La Cava claimed us as a no show and charged us $100!

When i called the manager to explain, he came off rude and expected us to go to his website. If we are using Open table why would i need to go on your website! Its not my fault you didn't update your profile! Then when he felt he was in the wrong he HUNG UP on me.

It's not about the money here, if we have known that they were going to charge us anyway we would of probably ate there but there was no understanding. At some point he says, "what do you think, we stay here for your reservation? " Well duh, its a REVERSATION! I showed up to the Reversation and left because we didn't like the menu. Be warned, they will rob you any chance they get.

We were driving down Ventura Blvd looking for a place to eat and we're drawn to La Cava and the semi-enclosed patio.

Nice little place. Staff was great. Food was excelled. Met an interesting couple dining next to us.

We're definitely coming back.
