La Colombe Coffee Roasters reviews
17Second best coffee in Silverlake. Sometimes, if you're lucky you'll get the Barista eith the pet parrot that curses at you from his shoulder while you order
No wifi so not the best place to get work done if that’s what you’re looking for. But the draft oat chai and draft oat vanilla lattes are fantastic! The front patio is a great place to sit and enjoy the weather. Parking is all street parking!
My favorite coffee shop in LA. Nick and the staff create the ideal coffee shop experience they’re cool cats, super fast, killer product. Always look forward to stopping by.
Let me start by saying I love La Colombe coffee and let me end by saying the service here is horrible. The people that work here have no sense of what customer service is about. The asian girl with the tattoos on her neck is the absolute worst. You pay a premium for a cup of coffee the least you can do is be courteous. Apparently that's not the case with her, every time I ask for something extra (which to be fair is some steamed milk) she gives me attitude and acts as if she shouldn't be doing it (even though I paid for it). Listen if I hate dealing with people and making coffee, the other option you have is not to do it and move on with your life. There are other coffee spots that are good in this area, I will be going there instead.
Great coffee. Really prefer the atmosphere/vibe at the Frogtown branch. Pastries are pretty pricey.
Two espressos on offer which I like as you can choose what best suits your palate. Both were very nice actually and the store was rather nice too.
I’ll always be a fan of La colombe + the employees here are the best! This is my go to spot!
Loved this place. Cute coffee shop with lots of seating. Great customer service and even better coffee.
Very friendly staff. While I didn't order a coffee and was looking for water, the staff member was very helpful in informing of the free water/sparkling taps and went above and beyond to make sure I was welcome irrespective of purchasing an item. Super cool coffee roasters too, so check it out!
The baristas here are excellent, truly among the best in the city. Jared, Amanda, Kenny, and Amanda are great. While La Colombe’s beverages don’t do much for me generally, I love the “tan line” and some of the pastries. Every La Colombe location has an absolutely marvelous layout, and this is no different.
La Colombe Silver Lake always seems to have a chill crowd sipping their coffee in the roofed front patio, working on their computer, chatting, or just people watching. It definitely has a nice vibe.
I stopped by one morning and got a cappuccino, coffee was good and service was fine.
This is the kinda of place where they will serve people that came in after you first. I had to wait for a dude to just hand me my already made latte while he was making 4 iced coffees for the person that came in after me. Seems disorganized.
I am a big coffee lover, even though I can't visit the store now but I can definitely order their coffee on their website!
They choose high quality coffee beans.
Let's support the local business, order online & deliver right to your door!
Good coffee, clean coffee shop with quick and efficient service. They had a gluten free item on their albeit small pastry menu but it was tasty. Space is a little tight right next to the pickup area but they have a front seating area and a loft area that provides more space for anyone looking to hang out or do some work.
Solid coffee, Nice vibe and the baristas are all incredibly gracious. They remember your order, treat you like a regular, etc.
This is a great spot if you're just looking to grab a coffee and go.
It is a pretty bad spot if you're looking to meet up with friends or do some work - and that's probably why Intelligentsia (less than a block away) is sometimes hopping while La Colombe is more or less empty.
So it really depends what you're looking for in a coffee shop! It seems silverlake is known for its sit down and work or talk coffee shop culture, with probably 5 coffee shops within a 10 minute walk that allow you to do just that.
This La Colombe location just seems to really not want that. They don't have wifi for one, which is pretty rare in 2022. On top of that, the music in their larger back sating area is the opposite you'd want if you're working or meeting with friends. It's about 20db too loud, and seems to be intentionally bad music (think early 2000s hip hop that never made it to the charts).
So depends what you're looking for.
