I first saw Dr. Dankworth in his team in 2006. New to the San Diego area, I read good reviews and decided to give the practice a try. Dr. Dankworth and his team were absolutely amazing. Dr. D did some extensive work replacing old silver – I was truly impressed with the work he did. He and his team always kept my teeth looking beautiful and healthy!

Between 2009 to 2023, I relocated out of the SD area and depending on where I lived, established myself with five other practices in total. Every one of the five dentists I saw commented on the quality of work that Dr. D had done, stating it was the best they had seen! Over the course of the years, I received a couple of costly recommendations on gum grafting – all very expensive and sounding a bit weird, so I held off.

When I returned to SOC in May 2023, one of my first priorities was to get reestablished with the LCDE. I knew my smile wasn’t what it used to be but had no idea the health of my mouth had deteriorated so much. Poor gum health, old crown and, of course, the recession … Dr. D and his team immediately got me on a treatment plan to address these issues. Within two months, we have gotten things back on track! Dr. D has done his amazing work on replacing the crown/addressing the recession issues (without expensive grafting!). Staci, an exceptional hygienist, has done her magic … my gums are once again healthy and my smile looks beautiful again!

From my own experiences across the state, I can honestly say Dr. Dankworth and his team at La Costa Dental Excellence are the absolute best. Dr. D is truly a master at what he does. Truly amazing people. I worked closely with Dr. Corrigan-Dankworth and came up with the BEST treatment plan that fit my schedule and my budget. Everyone in that office has been super attentive, caring, and helpful. My biggest concern when looking for a dentist was that they wouldn't be pushy in getting the treatment done asap, especially if it wasn't feasible for me at that time. They are SUPER respectful of all of my wishes and I could not be more grateful to have found them. I feel like I can honestly say that I have found my forever dentist and it feels AMAZING!

This office has been a pleasure to work with and be treated by. Dr. Corrigan Dankworth is funny, relatable, honest, informative, and produces high quality dental treatments. She has helped to save a tooth that was very concerning. The front office staff always greets me by name when I walk in, the assistants are all kind -trust me I’ve been in this office so much over the course of the past six months they could basically add me on payroll, ha! There were quite a few dental issues that needed to be taken care of. I am so grateful that I found LaCosta dental excellence to manage all my concerns, to put my mind at ease, clean and repair my teeth, and to make me feel welcomed and positive at each experience. If you're searching for a new dentist, look no further, I've found the best dentists right here in San Diego County. I first visited Dr. Dankworth & Dr. Corrigan in 1997 in Oceanside. Dr. Dankworth updated my old fillings and crowns while Dr. Corrigan took care of my kid's teeth. Back then as well as now, they used the newest technology available. I liked knowing that they were on the leading edge of dentistry in regard to their education & technology. They were also excellent at pain management. I remember the headphones, warm blankets, and listening to my favorite music while they worked on my teeth. My kids never complained about pain and had no fear of visiting the dentist as some kids do.

After a few years, we had to move out of California. We lived in both the Midwest and the South. Each time we moved, I would have to find a new dentist. Not once but twice, my new dentist asked me where I had my original dentistry work done. Both dentists said that I had the best dental work they'd ever seen. One even asked for Dr. Dankworth's contact info.so he could contact him. There's no better endorsement than one from your current dentist about your past dentist's work.

Needless to say, when I moved back to San Diego County, I sought out Dr. Dankworth. In addition to my past positive visits, I now had professional endorsements from two other dentists. I was thrilled to find them in their new location in Carlsbad. Both Dr. Dankworth and Dr. Corrigan were still as welcoming, empathetic, and passionate about dentistry as they were 27 years prior.

To expand on my good fortune, I also found Jessica, my new hygienist. Her cleanings are amazing and my teeth always look and feel great after my visit. She is highly skilled and I love that she's always on time and ready to educate me about my dental health. It's no wonder that I get compliments on my smile, thanks to the care I get from all of them.

Another positive is that everyone in the front office works together as a team to make visits quick and seamless. They are a great team of people and the vibe is professional, friendly, and feels like family. I'm grateful to Dr. Dankworth, Dr. Corrigan, and Jessica for keeping my teeth healthy and my smile shining bright through all of these years. If I could give them 10 stars I would. I feel La Costa Dental Excellence certainly lives up to their name. And I feel fortunate that my spouse and I were able to be patients there.

Everyone we worked with on the staff was friendly, from front desk, to assistants, doctors, and our hygienist.

I would like to especially mention how grateful I am that my husband and I were both treated by the very capable and experienced hands of hygienist Stacey. Not only is Stacey very good at what she does, she is a friendly and caring person, with a genuine passion for how oral health impacts the overall health of patients. My husband and I both learned so much from Stacey about best practices for maintaining oral hygiene, and we are so grateful for the exceptional level of care we received, as well as improved tools for self-care.

Were we not moving out of state, we would certainly continue to be patients at La Costa Dental Excellence.

My dentist retired in December of 2021. I had not found a new dentist that worked well for me. In, January of 2023-I had a dental emergency that was not handled in 2022 properly. This team handled my needs with compassion, easy, and a quick response for the need. If you are in need of a new dentistry team- I recommend calling to have an appointment scheduled. I have found my new dentistry team. Thank you for the compassion this week!

I felt the dental work was good, but the front staff was rude (Nicole in particular) and they corner you into spending more money than needed. Overall, they are not a patient-first type of place. It seems to be all about the money.
