La Esperanza Market reviews
16Tiktok is giving this place too much hype. The chicharrones were old and cold. Bought $45 worth of chicharrones. Never again.
The food is quite good and delicious, I recommend this place, from the pork rinds and everything else they sell.
Heard a bunch of hype about the chicharones. They was alright.
Pretty healthy burritos are being served here, though.
Overall. I say they break even on the score card
Little spot on 9th and Lankershim in Highland. I ordered a pound of carnitas, and a half pound of chicharrones. I was asked what kind of meat I preferred, I said surtido, but mostly maciza. When I got home, there was a tiny amount of carnitas maciza, and massive amounts of buche and cueritos. The maciza was delicious, all two tiny street tacos worth. The cueritos were good combined with the maciza. The buche was not too good, and was by far the largest portion of the combination. Nowhere near what I requested. The chicharrones were awesome, one of the best I've eaten. Next time I'll order separately, one pound of maciza and a quarter pound of cueritos, and a half pound of chicharrones. As long as they get the order right it'll be five stars.
A little gem in the middle of SB. Everyone was friendly and super welcoming. The cashier seemed to personally know everyone that walked in and it was just so lovely to see.
Now let’s talk food. They have a large menu of food items and we saw how they were making a burrito and let me tell you, it looked BOMB!
We came in for some chicarrones because we haven’t found a place that makes them good, but we found our place! The chicharrones were fresh and just the right touch of crunch.
Las carnitas mas asquerosas que e comido, ordene una libra y me dieron casi pura mantequa pura grasa iso pesar más, nunca regreso a comer porquerías, the worst carnitas i ever had, it was mostly grease instead of actual carnitas, I used almost a whole roll of paper towels to dry up the meat, I understand it’s carnitas cooked in lard but dam it was almost 2 cups full of grease/lard, will never comeback here…
They are known for their carnitas and chicharrones. They have a system for ordering. You first order at the register then pick up your food. Follow the arrows on the floor for the line to order.
Parking can be tight when the lot is packed.
Really Bad Service From The Ladies Serving The Food. Bad Attitude N Rude. Dindnt even say hi either N there Mad Looks for buying from them The Food Use To Be Good Before. NOT No More Save Your Money!
Yes I use to recommend this place but not any more since me and my family got a really bad service, those ladies that serves the food have a really bad attitude. One of them put Soo much cheese on my asada fries that it was impossible to eat it just because she didn't like that we asked for a little more cheese and then they were talking about us right in front of us in Spanish. So no more.understand
-They mix El chicharron fresco with El viejo.
-They mixed the fresh chicharron with the old ones.
Chicharon burrito absolutely very good! Enjoy every bunch so crunchy and every cooked really well the beans and rice and there salsa tied in with it if i could i would give it 10 stars! Definitely know where to get my burritos from now on
The best carnitas and pork rinds but the richest are the nachos De buche and the workers of that store are very friendly and delicious food
Don't mind making that drive from movalley to the best spot for the chicharones now I don't have to drive to East La but still do family out here y los tacos de la Calle ahuevo!
The carnitas are very delicious and crunchy. I live in Fontana, but the drive there is worth it. Very good customer service.
Customer Service was terrible! The fatter lady in the kitchen had an attitude with me all the time! I asked her for the fresh chicharron that had just came out, she refused & gave me the very hard one!
Honestly had high hopes for this place, employees where very nice and friendly but for thier Chicharŕons that's supposedly made fresh daily where as cold as ice and dry. Diffenlaty not worth the 30 minutes of waiting for my 1lb of Chicharŕon won't recommend going.
