LA Fitness, Mission Viejo CA

I just called the club to see if they had a steam room and the individual who answered the phone sounded and acted like a child, rather then provide details he would only respond with one word answers and then kept asking if I was a member while at the same time snarkly laughing. I'm glad this individual found this amusing rather then just answering my simple question. Poor customer service etiquette and it seems that I'm not the first to leave a negative review.

I really like this gym i wish they would extend hours a little more at the kids club,
and just hours in general on the weekends but overall it’s a good gym.

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. There are so many other options out there.over priced and rude staff. I tried to go on a day pass, but didn’t get the full workout experience the first time only about 15 minutes because I was in a hurry. I printed a new day pass so that I could go and get the full experience to see if that was something I wanted to do as far as getting a membership, the gentleman in the front refused to let me in …. He sits on the right hand side first desk. He was very rude to me and I felt very uncomfortable so I just Left.
I told him that I wanted to get the full experience because I didn’t get it the first time and he just said I’m sorry you have to leave if you’re not gonna get a membership. If that’s who’s representing the gym and the atmosphere, then that’s a red flag all the way around …. That cries desperateness. I just went over to planet fitness. I feel that their equipment is more updated anyways.: but I would definitely not recommend this location. I have had problems with the staff before they are very rude and half of the time are outside of the building just smoking.they do not care about their job. Bathrooms are dirty and pool looks like it has not been serviced in months.

This gym is fantastic. Clean, huge and lots of options. Mike was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the facility and the specific workout options. I'll be signing up here long term when I move to the area permanently.

I dont understand all the bad reviews here. For $50 a month I have unlimited nationwide access and can bring 2 guest with me everytime I workout! My only complaint is that it can be crowded at times. They have a good pool/jacuzzi area, plenty of nice people to chat with, love the kickboxing/boxing bags, a lot cleaner than 24 hour fitness. Plenty of attractive people, good weight equipment, awesome hiit training area. I'm like a pig in mud here. Stop complaining people this gym has it all! Did I mention, racquetball? !?

Manager HOEzay is a liar. I'm talking used car salesman, checkered suit with combover type con man. And the club looks like a war zone. The management should be tried for crimes against humanity for how disgusting it is in there. Forget Wuhan, Covid was born in this nasty gym!

Treated poorly when I was interested in buying a membership by Jose. He got angry with me when I used my phone while he was filling out a document.

I really like this L. A fitness, the location itself (right off the 5) there is ample parking and restaurants in or near the gym. As soon as you walk in you’ll notice it’s not like any of the other sister gyms, directly behind the check in counter is the personal training area that have tons of supplies, trx, kettle bells, aqua punching bags, medicine balls. I mean it was a Sunday and I didn’t see any trainers so I’m sure everyone else can make use of the area. To the right are some cardio machines and what looks like a HIIT class. To the left would be the classes such as; Zumba, cardio kickboxing etc the basketball court behind and the locker room where you can access the pool and spa.

Upstairs is crazy, ton of cardio and weight machines which is great because that means you never have to wait for a machine, I love it. The only thing I can suggest is possibly having more sanitizing stations. Also, members are very courteous here and re-rack their stuff. I really enjoyed the spa definitely relaxed my muscles; the shower pressure was good. Overall, I’d come back.

This is a large facility with plenty of machines. However, it’s clearly neglected. This is the dirtiest LA fitness I have ever been to. You can see dirt and grime built up in the sauna and on the equipment.

Staff and management are friendly. They have great variety of machines and free weights with clean atmosphere!

I’ve been to nearly all LAF’s in the OC/LA area, this one is easily top 3, probably #1 for availability of equipment and general cleanliness, although the restrooms could be a bit better. Otherwise this is a solid gym with TONS available.

Worst gym I have ever been a member of. They are scammers. Hidden fees and cancellation is like no manager here or on the phone they ask to go to the gym (then no one in the gym can cancel your membership so they five you a phone number and then in this loop forever)

Its an ok gym, sometimes its really nice BUT my muscles are not getting bigger and my stomach is getting fatter. I work out 3 times a week. I brought this up at my over eaters anonymous meeting but the people there said its my ice cream eating thats the problem. Meanwhile my home delivery of ben & Jerry's ice cream bill keeps going up every month. Something seems fishy and no its not from my weekly fish fry and beer fest I host every Friday

Had my first personal training session with Kaylee last week and it was awesome. First we sat down and discussed where I was at - my goals, lifestyle, and current health status. Then based on that info she tailored a workout that was personalized and challenging, without overdoing it. She was able to spot some knee weakness that I wasn't aware of and helped me work on it. Definitely would recommend!

Broken equipment, the club is not clean, workout bags on the floor, people sitting on machines using their cell phones not working out, no employees on the floor enforcing any club rules. This could be a great club.

This gym has a good share of equipment and is clean. Not giving more than two stars though as fellow weightlifters are petty, selfish and a bit immature here (age has nothing to do with it) and don't know how to share the wealth of weights and machines. Several members hoard machines, weights and multiple attachments at one time to the pulleys longer than a normal workout should be preventing others from having an opportunity to use them for just 5 minutes. Management has no clue how to tactfully handle this. Management furthermore does not enforce mask wearing even though there are mask requirement signs everywhere. Women's restroom has had a broken sink and toilet forever.

My new go to gym. It gets quite busy at the weekend but during the week it's not too bad. Pretty clean and a surprising amount of good machines and free weights.

Except one thing, once enrolled 18 months for almost $500
No refund after 5 days sign up, even if later on you're no longer in that area. They just DO NOT refund,
Learned my lesson, pay monthly next time.
I had moved to some 30 some miles, (1 way to this gym,) that's the downside. Gas is expensive.
