La Fromagerie Cheese Shop reviews
11 The Californien sandwich tasted amazing. I normally don't like cold sandwiches, but I loved this one! The habanero sauce packed just the right amount of heat for someone who likes spicy food like me. I also enjoyed the salad and some cheese curds (small cheese cubes) I got in addition.
For downtown SF, $10/ sandwich is a great price. The line was not long (less than 1 min) and they had my food made instantly. I'll definitely be coming back since they have daily special sandwiches that looked really good.
It’s a typical shop for white collar workers, but one I really enjoyed. You can get some nice sandwiches there. My favorite one, and a clear recommendation to anyone, is TOULOUSE with duck breast and fig jam. PARISIEN with aged cheese was a bit too dry because of the bread. The ITALIEN was good. And try the grilled cheese some time.
Best cheese shop ever!
I came across La Fromagerie on my last day in SF - when I say it was a life-changing grilled cheese I mean it. I'm not even upset my flight home was cancelled as it gave me an opportunity for round 2. Thanks so much!
I had walked in, tempted by the smell of the cheeses - and was ignored the entire time by the two guys working there, who were more focused on the attractive young blondes who walked in right after me. Even after they left, neither employee even bothered to speak a word to me. I would have been more than happy to buy a bottle of wine to enjoy, but if I am going to be ignored, there's no sense to it.
Toulouse sandwich is highly recommended! I forgot to put vegetables
Had a friend worked at different locations and she always made me a better one than this one, but it was not bad here!
The fig duck sandwich is like nothing I've had before. I think coming here and ordering a regular Deli sandwich is a mistake. Enjoy yourself a delicious sweet and fatty fig duck sandwich. Goodness inbetween two slices of bread. Yum.
The vegetarian Provençal sandwich was kinda dry and the cheese taste was overpowering. The Arugula salad was made amazing by the dressing. Chocolate dipped madeleines were soft and delicious too.
So glad they’re back, I thought this place was gone for good and was pleasantly surprised to see them open again today. Salad still on point, excellent lunch option.
Came here through MealPal. The L'Italien sandwich was pretty dry and lacked flavor. Pretty disappointed: (
Duck and fig sandwich was very tasty and with the side salad makes for a filling meal. Smoked duck was delicious and there was a nice amount of meat in the sandwich. Prices were good as well for the quality and quantity.
Legit french, affordable as heck, delicious. Super happy they're available on ritual, may just be doing this every week. They also have an extensive cheese selection. Very great shop!
My sandwich was perfect. Duck and fig, awesome combination. Stays together well, good texture, great bread.
